[Winter] Market changes

Hey guys,

We have gone through and made some change to what is listed on the market and how it is organized. If you have any feedback on this please let me know.

  • Faction drones are now listed on the market.
  • Faction POS towers are now on the market.
  • Outpost construction eggs are now listed on the market.
  • Drone upgrades have been moved from Drones to ship equipment. They are modules so it makes more sense.
  • All POS weapon batteries are now under Starbase -> Structures -> Weapon Batteries.
  • Blueprints now make more sense. I have reorganized a large percent of the blueprints category. The structure should now resemble the rest of the market.


Update 2012/09/25:

  • Faction POS modules are now on the market.
  • Added the same faction filtering you find in Ship Equipment to Drones and Structures. That being the little sub-categories for faction or officer.
  • Re-organizing the subsystems to be Race -> Subsystem Type instead of Subsystem Type -> Race


Update 2012/10/17:

  • Added Quafe Zero to the market.
  • Added new racial icons to the subsystems on the market.
  • CCP Fozzie was kind enough to add some missing ships to the market and break out all the special edition ships into their own category.


Update 2012/10/17 #2:

  • Added a new shuttle category called "Faction Shuttles" and added both Goru's Shuttle and the Guristas Shuttle to the market.


Update 2012/10/23:

  • Updated the Mining Barges section of the market and moved all the ships up one level. Since ORE are the only manufactures of these ships there was no need to break them down into faction.

You have no idea how long it has bothered me. There were actually categories called subsystems that had nothing to do with tech 3 subsystems. o_O

Speaking of subsystems, can you change the hierarchy so that instead of Modification>Subsystems>Type>Racial it goes Modification>Subsystems>Racial>Type?

I have never in my life thought "I need an Engineering susbsystem but should I get a Caldari or Amarr one?" I regularly think "Time to browse the Minmatar subsystems." Unless you guys have plans to release pirate T3 subsystems, the current ordering means a lot of extra clicks when browsing the market for no good reason.

I found out recently that the control towers change missed the current Duality build, but it will be in the next one.

I will need to talk to some of the guys here at the office and see what they think about the whole mission items on market thing.

I would also accept Pirate T3 subsystems that can be plugged into multiple T3s. Pirate

yeah it would be nice, now I always use search for the ship, so that only the hull and subs for it are listed, way easier that searching each time the good race.

also how about putting reactions bpos with blueprints ?
I'm always searching everywhere before finding these when I need them.

Any chance of getting Quafe Zero on the market please? I know it was a special item, but it can still be bought and sold, and I think all the other boosters are there...

It would be nice to have everything on the market - there are odd things you can pick up from missions, that you can sell on contract but it's relatively painful...

Contracts are limited to 14 days, there's no history of prices etc. In addition putting this stuff on the market will add fluidity. Additionally for very low-value items, the costs for setting up a contract can be more than the item is worth.

If you want to prioritise moving stuff onto the market - look for items that average very low prices on contract. Those are most likely to have volume, and be most frustrating to sell on contract.

This might not be in the scope of what you're fixing, but could you look at bug report #144548?
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Hmm, as switching places from some items, do you feel PLEXes are at the good place ?
Hard question here, given it's an unique item, and that there's way to find them (on character sheet, even if this tab never works outside the link...)
