Is there a firm or approximate date when the new racial ship skills will be implemented, more specific than "sometime later than December 4th?"

Found a typo in the patch notes. At least I hope it's a typo. Because otherwise the poor Maulus is getting a -2.5% nerf to effectiveness per level.What?

"Maulus: ◦ Gallente Frigate bonuses: +7.5% remote sensor dampener effectiveness and -10% remote sensor dampener effectiveness per level"

"MAULUS:

Frigate skill bonuses:

About time.Evil And is this the same for exploration content? Time zone favortism should not occur.

I have a question in regards to the update. What size will it be ? The reason I ask is that the launcher refuses to update files of more than a couple hundred megs. Or the download completes but must be restarted because it is unusable. Will the stand alone files be available for HTTP/TORRENT download the same day from the website like the current set of zipfiles ? Thanks in advance for answering this question.

Just one small question - I seem to have read somewhere that the Noctis would get a 25 m3 drone bay in connection with the introduction of the salvage drones - or I am wrong about this?

An alliance mate and I want to shoot at each other to test our ships. I drop a can, he takes from it and goes flashy red to me. We shoot each other for a while.

How can we do this now without exposing the can "thief" to a suspect flag that will allow everyone in system to jump in on the action? I thought there was going to be a provision made for this, no?

Edit: Also in on first page of a Patch Notes reveal!

No firm date no. But, it has been said (by a dev) that the battlecruisers and the battleships will be tierised before the skill change will be done. Of note might be the fact that CCP Fozzie has relatively strongly implied that one would be wise to train the Destroyer and Battlecruiser skills sooner rather than later to take full advantage of the skill change. This has lead me to believe that that change might come in a Retribution point release rather than the summer 2013 release.

Can you please consider splitting the assets - 3D geometry, textures, sound, etc. - from the code, in the build, and deploy each as a separate download?

Assets make up the largest part of any deployment, yet usually require the least amount of last minute critical fixes/changes. By separating them, you should be able to let players get a day or so headstart on downloading the assets, while the final code changes are still being QAed, fixed and packaged.

At the very least, downloading the assets gives people something to do while the server-side updates are being installed/tested, during the extended downtime (which undoubtedly will get more extended... it always does on major patches).

The downloaded assets can remain safely packaged on the client, until the code part of the build is deployed and downloaded, at which time, the new assets can be unzipped and installed along with the code.

You might even consider breaking up the assets into smaller packages, and start downloading the finished assets now incrementally, via the launcher. This would distribute the load and help reduce the inevitable spike on Dec 4.

I hadn't heard anything about the change to the Afterburner skill before, but I really like it. There is now a positive reason to train the skill to V.

edit: Comparing Buckingham vs. TQ, looks like my cap usage, with 4 in Afterburner and 4 in Fuel Conservation, will be going up with the change, by about 5%.

Impressive set of changes!

Some of the Caldari Cruisers list their slot layout numbers as being their defense values.

Slightly surprised that people trying (but failing) to murder me in low sec won't grant me kill rights against them. That's not very "retributiony" at all.
