Dynamic Web Queries in Excel 2007

Hey folks,

I've made a spreadsheet for my T2 production - I've managed to pull my Assets, and all the needed Eve-Central Data so I can see what's worth producing, and develop a shopping list based on my shortages. It has a few other odds and ends included.

What I want to do now is make the Asset & Skill data Dynamic, so I can give my spreadsheet to my corp or post here to the forums. I've got static Web Queries down pat, but I can't seem to make them adjustable so that on a press of the button it runs the query with the cell data added to the string and overwrites the last table with the new data.

So any advice on making these Eve API queries dynamic?

Also any advice on getting past the 255 chara limit on static web queries? (So I can pull the 90ish items from Eve Central in 1 query instead of 28) Would also love to make this dynamic as well so the region can be changed instead of the default Jita I have now.

Info:
Using Excel 2007
No VBA knowledge
I don't use Google docs, because it drives me nuts and I like conditional formating among other things that G-Docs sucks at. Plus it's too far along to convert now.

Thanks folks

See the blog post; https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/2013/06/22/importing-price-data-into-spreadsheets/

There is a section on Excel

To get around the 255 character limit for a call you can use http://eve.addicts.nl/ See their API section. I use a single url with the "getAll" function to grab all the prices from a trade hub into a single lookup table and them make liberal use of vlookup statements from other sheets in my EVE workbook.

I've used Fuzz to get my market data, thanks for giving me a workaround on the 255 character limit!

The part I'm hung up on is importing CCP API info for players. So any user can have it pull their assets.

You'll find a discussion of this here -> http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=1292967

(for assets I just use jEveAssets as it is easier and just do pricing in Excel)
