Exploring... nothing.

So, I have been exploring Hi-sec for 3 hours.

Found 8 wormholes and 1 gas-site. Something has to be off.
Not exactly doin millions an hour on data-sites here.

Heron

1 x Core Probe Launcher I with scanner probes.

1 x 1MN Afterburner
1 x Civilian Data Analyzer
1 x Civilian Relic Analyzer
1 x Scan Pinpointing Array I
1 x Scan Rangefinding Array I

2 x Nanofiber Internal Structure I

2 x Small Gravity Capacitor Upgrade I

If you always stay ready you don't have to get ready.

What part of hisec are you in? I found recently that the area around Apanake is pretty full of sites. I was going ot bring a heron down there but have not yet. You really should get tech 1 analyzers though. The civilian ones are bad.

Luck of the draw.

Hi-sec sites usually go quickly in high population systems.

Hi-sec exploration is probably the least lucrative due to the high competition you face for sites. Try moving away from market hubs and heavy traffic areas to quieter systems, but really to find more valuable sites you probably want to go out of highsec.

You could also try going into some of those wormholes:

Wormholes are a future priority. Need to hone down the
probing and hacking skills before that.

Absolutely need cloak-device too.

Drones could maybe improve my odds to survive too.

@Bertok Francis

Genesis part seems good. maybe around SoE territory then.

If you find a wh out to null then there are lots of empty areas where you can take your time exploring too. You have local wich is free intel and if you are worried can high tail it back to hs. One site in null will pay for several t1 explorer ships. As for drones helping you survive, they won't. Anyone ganking your t1 explorer is gonna out dps you.

Read about some ECM (?) drones that could buy you some extra seconds if somebody jumps you.
Inside wormhole.

You and 5000 other newbies have been exploring Hi-Sec for 3 hours.

Once somebody goes to an exploration site and loots the container or whatever, it disappears. Takes a while for another site to appear.

Also, lose the civilian modules. They are only useable in the tutorials and career agents. They won't work in real exploration sites.

Wormholer for life.

I know what ecm drones are, been used against me many times. T1 frigs blow up so fast he will barely get them out and have a lock on. I asume you have ganked explorers before, you should know how fast they pop. Notmally an explorer who is about to get ganked focuses on aligning out and warping off. Targetting and launching drones is secondary. They may save him true but no need to wait for having the skills before going into a wormhole.

Im so noob you wouldnt know. Babysteps here, tryin to soak in
info from around. Looks so easy on Youtube and whatnot.

As many have pointed out, will upgrade modules.

Many hisec areas are picked clean very fast is what you are seeing.

If you go into wormholes, bookmark your entry, bring extra scanner probes. You probably will get blown up, but you might profit and live to tell the tale. You will definitely have fun and hopefully learn also.

It's high sec. And just as overcrowded and milked dry high sec is, low and null are nearly empty and going to waste.

Get out of high sec and problem solved. Use your D-Scan....that's about all it takes. If something is in-bound, you warp out, cloak, whatever. Most of the time there will be no one for miles.
Fly something cheap so losing it doesn't matter- an evening raiding sites in null sec will pay for several ships.

Better yet, build up some skills and a small fleet. That way you can make use of whatever you scan down. Gas sites, Wormholes, combat sigs, etc. I ran relic/data sites for awhile but kept a gas huffing Venture handy for when I found a wormhole. It was just a side hobby to the content I was looking for...but broke up the boredom when I hit a dry spell.

A cloaking device is a very nice tool to have. However it is not required and certainly not an "absolute need". It just allows you to be lazier but if you learn how to make safe spots and learn how to use D scan you certainly can scan down an entire wormhole system from a safe spot, without a cloak.

One thing that I used to do when feeling overly paranoid is that I would make several safe spots on opposite sides of the solar system and then I would warp around between them and do my scanning while in warp. But if you just make a safe spot and then watch D scan you should be fine to sit in one spot.

Keep in mind that you will loose ships. When I say safe I am speaking in relative safety. However with wormhole income you should be able to more than afford the ship losses. If the cost of replacing is a ship is keeping your from exploring wormholes then send me an in game mail and I'll buy a handful of Heron's for you an contract them to you at the market hub of your choosing.

Okay

Went inside 2 wormholes. Both looked bleakish (color).
Said "another place in space" or something.

For some reason both had 2 warpdisrupter thingies that
came up on D-scan. Nothin else showed up. Lotsa circled
squares (places, stuff).

Didnt want to risk Heron so I exited both almost directly.

Babysteps.

Oh, one question to all you who suggested fittings.

Why isnt afterburner better?

Warpdrive gives huge signature and seems that
warpdisrupters are common in wormholes?

If you always stay ready you don't have to get ready.

Only way to make isk exploring is WH or Null. That said, wait for the skillz
