Hi,
What do you think about creating anomaly sites in HighSec , with open PVP and high ship restrictions (e.g. frigates , cruisers only etc.)
I think it could bring much life to high sec and give tons of fun.
They could serve as nicely rewarding pvp training grounds.

You mean the things Low Sec, Mutual wars with entities like RVB or duels are meant to provide?

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Something like lowsec security, but like anomalies only viable for certain time - more like PvE + PvP exploration

Why not just leave highsec?

Everything's already centered around frigates and cruisers. We need emphasis on bcs and battleships.

Also pve in general needs a revamp with removal of ewarfare npcs

NO, others have mentioned things of this type over the years they were all bad ideas and so is yours.

High sec has rules of engagement and this idea would violate those rules of engagement.
But they could change those rules for these areas you might say. Yes as a matter of fact they could do that, but then they would not be high sec anymore they would essentially be low sec and we have lots of low sec for you to go to so why waste dev time for this idea? And why do we need more low sec when there are very few players in the low sec we already have?

Everything you are asking for exists somewhere else in the game.
No, you can not have this.

This is a great idea! We can get open up PVP by removing CONCORD response, and maybe we can even make some "Acceleration Gates" that only allow certain types of ships to go through! We could call these new anomaly sites "Plexes", and make them come in 4 flavors, Novice, Small, Medium, and Large! What a fantastic idea!

Hmm...but having no concord response means that this will be less secure than highsec! We should change the name of this area of space so people can better understand that they are in a PVP zone...why don't we call it LOWSEC, because it has LOWER SECURITY than HISEC.

....

Oh, wait, all of this literally, exactly, exists already in the game? Wow, what a surprise! I sure feel dumb right now don't I!

CCP Veritas developed a deployable "dojo" for 1v1 PVP https://www.themittani.com/news/ccp-veritas-parting-gift-dojo

No idea what (if anything) became of it. You might ask one of the CSM to followup with the devs and see if it is still simmering on the back burner or has been tossed in the dumpster.

"bring life to highsec"

75% of players live in highsec right now. We need less life in highsec, if anything.

This has been suggested before. It was a good idea then and remains one now.

New players looking for a fight often go into low and their lack of knowledge about traversing low gets them killed in a gatecamp. Having the option to go into a site that doesn't last long enough to (often) attract gatecamps allows them to get an actual fight.

Sure they'll often still lose fights in these but losing when you feel you are in contention is a lot more fun than just getting whelped 6 on 1.

or they can do the smart thing and join a player organization or militia that will help them learn this.

they can also join a HS dec corp or dec on their own

So, instead of losing their ships on a low sec/high sec gate, which in itself is a low sec island directly next to high sec or in other words what the OP wants, people now warp to a low sec island in high sec and die there. There is no difference whatsoever in terms of camping and unfun insta death. Underestimating the players' will to use this system to camp and whelp people continuously is particularly ingenuous coming from someone who used to be a CODE drone. Nothing prevents players to find these sites in busy areas (and let's be honest, no one will go into these sites in unpopulated areas because no one's there) and camp them with 6 buddies in wait for 1 clueless newbie (to stick with your example).

Besides, even if they died repeatedly on such a low sec gate, they learned very important lessons for the navigation into and around these areas ... or at least should have if they are intelligent and observing. People who don't possess these treats rather go to the forums and demand easier to access, easier to exploit mechanics to get their PVP fix in a "safe and controlled environment".

Frankly It is just another rule exception added onto another whole host of exceptions.

It is generally a goal to have simple systems that allow complex interaction. this is not It.

all you are effectively creating is another trap for players who are still trying to get their heads around crime watch.

It no doubt will give a lot of fun and killmails to certain players.

They won't be PVP training grounds.

They will be slaughterhouses.
