Are you a traveller, solo pilot or nomad, searching for freedom?

#1 - 2013-06-04 07:17:41 UTC  |  Edited by: Alexia Morgan
New Eden is a harsh environment. It can be challenging to just do your own thing without being bothered by people demanding you join them. Why can't they just leave you alone?

All you want to do is travel around and see the sights, or you want to explore the dark depths of distant star systems, or you just want to do an occasional mission in peace and quiet.

But then there's yet another Call To Arms that just makes you instead want to sign off and do something else. Or someone telling you that you're fitting your ship wrong - "Do it THIS way!" Or someone else telling you that you've got to go defend a POS - it's your DUTY as a corp member to help the corp defend itself. Or someone else telling you to to stop mining or exploring and go get some kills on the killboard.

Blah blah blah.

Sure, I know that's great for those corps where that kind of thing is important. And it's great for those people that love doing all those things.

But it's not great for you. You would just love to do your own thing without anyone bothering you, and ideally without having to worry about PvP. So you've been looking around for something different.

And now you've found it.

Touring New Eden (or just TOURING) is a unique corporation for "pacifist space ninjas", as someone recently described us. We are explicitly for solo pilots and nomads who love to travel around nullsec and do their own thing, while avoiding PvP.

As a corp we have no base of operations. The galaxy itself is our home. There's no POS's or territory to defend, and no corp operations to join. Our members live everywhere.

There's ZERO TAX RATE because there's no corp industry. What members do in TOURING is entirely up to them.

There's only two rules we have for our members:

  • avoid PvP (we teach you how), and
  • enjoy yourself!

If you're a pacifist, a traveller, a nomad, a solo pilot who doesn't want to be tied down to any one location or activity, then you are welcome to join us. With no corp HQ you can apply anywhere, and continue doing what you were doing before. The only change is that in TOURING you're in a family of like-minded pilots.

If you have any questions, please ask below or join the TOURING channel in-game to have a chat with me about your interest, or just apply to join us if you think we're a good fit for you.

TOURING is a family. We would love to expand that family to anyone that wants to join us in our ways.

I'm looking for travellers and nomads that enjoy travelling or touring the galaxy, or for those pilots with no fixed address, who love to roam, to travel, to do their own thing without any demands to support corp activities.

These are the reasons you might be interested in joining us:

  • You have other responsibilities, like a family, and you want to play on your own terms, in your own time
  • You don't want to have to play the game someone else tells you to play. You want to play your own game
  • You prefer flying solo, enjoying the thrill of relying only on yourself, no one else
  • You don't want to answer to someone that thinks they have authority over you and how you play
  • You want freedom, the wide open space before you, without anyone else blocking your view
  • You're travelling the galaxy and you like the idea of being amongst like-minded individuals

Those are all the reasons I created this corp for myself. If any of them sound like what you're looking for, then Touring New Eden is the place for you.

You can also join the TOURING channel in-game to discuss your interest with me.

As a corp member, you will learn how to survive travelling around nullsec, avoiding gate camps and using your environment to protect you against potential enemies.

I was the creator and founder of the Open University of Celestial Hardship, the premier nullsec survival and PVP training corp. I know what I'm talking about.

In my current adventures to travel around the galaxy, I've travelled through 196 nullsec systems (so far - only another 5,005 systems to go!), in the following regions: Curse, Great Wildlands, and Cache.

Without losing a ship.

I have a blog where I'm recording my adventures, system by system. You can find it here:

Touring New Eden

Members of the corp will be invited to become contributors to the blog, able to write about their own adventures and post their own pictures of the locations they're finding themselves.

A conversation on Twitter....

Someone: "Alexia, so basically it's a corp where you sign up if you want training to become a ninja... a uh space ninja!"

Alexia: "Maybe, sort of... but combat is actually discouraged. Survival without dying is encouraged. Does that make members ninjas?"

Someone: "Ok, pacifist space ninjas."

Yes, I love it! Pacifist space ninjas. That's us. Do you want to join in? Big smile

One of the benefits that TOURING members get is access to guides that will help them travel the furthest reaches of the galaxy without losing their ship or dying.

Based on years of practical experience and success, I offer this invaluable information free to TOURING members.

Would you like to know more? Contact me via evemail or chat with me in the TOURING channel.

Oops, just wrote another guide for corp members, available in our corp Bulletins:

  • The secret to travelling nullsec without dying

It's a secret though, so I can't tell you what it is. You'll have to join us to find out. Big smile

There's no tax in TOURING.

The corp doesn't need to buy anything, because there's no home base, POS, etc. No territory to defend. No ships to transport around. No mining to do.

So no tax. Anything you earn in your travels, you keep 100%.

I had an awesome day yesterday, with many people interested in joining TOURING. In a 24 hour period we went from 2 members to 11 members. I'm very happy with the results!

So there's a few people joining up, and I'm looking for many more. My skills allow me to have 1,100 people in the corp, and I want to see if we can reach that number!

NPC corps are very location dependent. And they're full of people who aren't necessarily of the same mindset as you, so you probably find you have very little to talk about with them.

TOURING NEW EDEN has no base of operations, making it location independent. Members can be anywhere they damn well please. And corp chat is friendly and open, and encourages questions and answers about anything relating to any interest.

We're in this journey together. We're a collection of people who can one day call themselves a family. We support each other without demanding anything of each other.

And the corp certainly will demand nothing of its members.

You never know what you're going to experience in New Eden. Every day I wake up is another adventure.

Today I met a highsec griefer. He wasn't griefing me, but he was talking about his career. I decided to interview him for my blog, and you can read about it here:

An interview with a highsec griefer

The thing is, TOURING NEW EDEN is a corp that is friends to everyone. Even griefers. We have no interest in judging people for their career choices, and we don't want to be judged for our own.

I know that pacifist pilots in New Eden seems pretty odd. But it's just a career choice, like many other careers out there. But as a pacifist, you can be an explorer, a scout, a logistics specialist, a journalist or just a traveller like me.

In TOURING you can be whatever you want to be. As long as you're pacifist, of course..

And we'll help you travel around safely and avoid the tactics that others will try to use against you. Even highsec griefers.

We have a separate roleplaying channel as well, for those who wish to roleplay their characters.

Are you a member of an NPC corp, because you don't like player-run corps that join in when you just don't want to?

Are you someone who prefers to spend time by yourself, doing your own thing?

But do you miss the casual conversations of a small corp of like-minded people who are just there with each other to pass the time, to shoot the breeze, and to help answer the occasional questions?

Then you might be interested in joining TOURING. Come talk to me about it, and I'll help answer any questions you might have.

A friendly bump from a fellow nomadic pilot. Even though we're more combat orientated ad opportunistic in our travels I'm delighted to see someone like-minded

A nomadic identity isn't easy, but it makes you out of place friends and interesting adventures

Thanks for the bump!

Ah, if only you weren't so combat oriented. You could be a perfect fit for TOURING. :)
