Inaugural Utah Meet & Greet - August 31st, 2013

DATE: Saturday, August 31st

TIME: 7 PM, Local time

PLACE: Downtown Redrock Brewery

SOMER Blink has donated some promo codes and 2 PLEX for our first meetup! The promo codes can be redeemed for 100 Million Blink credit. The PLEX will be given out in a random draw.

Depending on availability, this all may change. Judging by this thread it looks like a lot of us are pretty well spread out around the valley. I figured downtown SLC would be as good a place as any to meet in the middle.

Hopefully we can all get together for good food and drinks and talk about EVE. If there's enough interest, maybe we can even make it a regular thing.

Post here if you plan to show up. Hope to see you all there!

Bumping this. I know it's a little over a month away, but please reply even if you tentatively plan to attend.

I will definitely have to try and make this. I started to think no one in Utah played Eve...

I have my kiddo that weekend so I'll have to arrange a sitter. Shouldn't be too difficult.

The real problem is no one in Utah plays video games other than BF3/Halo and farmville. I thought I would try and make this, but I have to take a trip that weekend Sad

This is still a go. I'll PM some of the other locals and direct them to this thread.

Congrats on the new house, at any rate! My wife and I have been searching for the past year.

Yeah, I just realized I scheduled this over Labor Day weekend. :\

I'd still like to follow through, even if it means a smaller turnout. Depending on how it goes we can plan for a larger meet up in the future.

Aaaaand we have some goodies to give away, thanks to the awesome folks over at SOMER Blink!

I have some promo codes to give away to everyone who shows up, redeemable for 100 Million Blink credit. Depending on the size of the turnout, I may have plenty of codes leftover for the next meetup!

In addition to the promo codes, I'll also have 2 PLEX to give away in a random draw!

I've updated the original post with this information. So show up for some free Blink credit, and a chance to win a PLEX!

If I had a car I would totally go to this, but public transit kinda sucks on Saturday nights. Any ideas getting there from Provo?

(Edit: More accurately, getting back.)

If public transit isn't an option, the only thing I can think of would be convincing a friend or family member who does have access to a vehicle.

Redrock's a good place. It's an off-payday week, but I'll make it if I can, if just for drinks.

I'll be there. May have a corp mate from the U joining as well.

Public transit from provo shouldn't be too bad since the train now goes from Provo to down town SLC.
