EVE Online: Rubicon, the 20th free expansion for EVE Online, has been successfully deployed!

Rubicon brings the rebalancing of a number of ship classes, along with a whole host of new features including four new mobile structures, new ghost sites, Sisters of EVE faction ships, player owned high-security customs offices, warp acceleration changes, the Interbus Ship Identification System, a new character selection screen and improvements to the fleet interface.

Full patch notes are available here.

This thread is for reporting issues only. For general feedback, please use the EVE Online: Rubicon feedback thread.

  • Untranslated text in ISIS for Russian — translations are missing for FactionDescriptions, ElementDescriptions, and GroupDescriptions; TypeBonusNames are in EN for all clients.
  • Unable to loot the Siphon module if you are not the owner
  • Mobile Depot’s shield recharge time is at 35 minutes instead of 24 hours.
  • ‘Wetu’ Mobile Depot’s sensor strength is 200 points instead of 250 points.
  • Mobile Depots do not activate if they have brackets disabled throughout the deployable’s anchoring period. (Workaround – leave grid and come back)
  • Show Info is unavailable for ships that are not displayed in ISIS
  • Sometimes when jumping through a gate, the jump tunnel does not disappear. (Workaround - Right click in space and jump through the next gate or relog).
  • You can deploy the siphon unit in 0.4 and above space, even though there is nothing to steal.
  • Moracha and Chremoas lack show info tabs.
  • Scan probes are currently warping at 1/3rd their expect speeds. This will be rectified in tomorrow's patch.
  • Alliance access only POCOs (disallowed standings access) do not allow transfer of items to alliance corporations that is not the executor. This will be fixed in tomorrow's patch.
  • Players who try to login with the old client from starting the launcher a few minutes too early may get a black screen. Kill the client and restart the launcher.
  • Some players have corrupt/incorrect ship and module icons. Fix - Clear your cache and update your display drivers.
  • Ship textures appear to be blurred/low resolution. This is due to the new LOD Quality feature. Fix - Set your LOD Quality to high in the Esc menu.
  • Unable to save notes for other characters.
  • It is possible to deploy two POCOs around one planet. In instances that this happens, only the first is registered and useable with the planet broker. We will be fixing this, and in the meantime removing the second POCO from the planet and reimbursing both the Customs Office Gantry as well as the PI materials needed to online it.

If you are experiencing launcher issues, please follow these steps to fix it:
1. Go to your EVE folder, enter "launcher" directory.
2. Once there, you'll find "launcher.exe" and "launcher.old.exe"
3. Remove launcher.exe
4. rename launcher.old.exe to launcher.exe
5.Then go to "appdata" directory.
6. Remove "EVE_Online_Launcher-2.1.643940.win32"
7. keep the "EVE_Online_Launcher-2.1.613956.win32" one

hello,

found some bug.

1. Started the launcher as usual.
2. Launcher updates
3. Launcher got broken due to some failure. Report: check your launcher log etc It was written there that some data can not be retrieved.

Workaround

1. Go to your EVE directory on your computer.
2. Click through to "launcher" --> "cache"
3. run "updater.exe"
4. This will take some time as an old version of a launcher will be installed.
5. Run your launcher via your usual shortcut (on your desktop).
6. Launcher will now update to current version.
7. After update, the launcher will close.
8. Reopen the launcher and the patch for Rubicon will be downloaded and installed.

I hope I could help you if you run into the same issue.

EDIT If you do not have the "updater.exe" please go to this site and download it, continue with step 4 of the workaround to fix this issue.http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/launcherInstaller/EVEOnlineLauncher_1_32_tq.exe

My launcher started briefly and now only says

"See the log file
'.......2.1.643940.win32\launcher.exe.log' for details"

this is a win7 32 bit ****** laptop.

Launcher broken. Receive "Error occured" window with "See the logfile (program files\CCP\EVE)\launcher\appdata\EVE_Online_Launcher-2.1.643940.win32\launcher.exe.log" for details.

Noticed new directory: (program files\CCP\EVE)\launcher\appdata\EVE_Online_Launcher-2.1.655067.win32\, ran launcher.exe from this directory, works fine and patching game. Appears "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\eve.exe" is still pointing to old launcher.exe version. Using Windows 7 64-bit.

It works. Also if you have multiple clients and one doesnt have the updater.exe you can copy it to the installation directory that is missing it. Be sure to change the installpath though when updater.exe ask you.

Well, the first piece of feedback I have is that the announcement page that led me here, says this:

"Please report any issues with Odyssey *link*"

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Best Meltdown Ever.

CCP Falcon, you're telling people to delete the Odyssey version of the Launcher for an older version, but why did I get a newer version of the Launcher and can use it? Shouldn't everyone have my version (2.1.655067)?
#20 - 2013-11-19 12:48:51 UTC
Additonally, the launcher does not Save Settings anymore.

I increased number of download threads and the option to close the launcher after launching. These values (or anthing else) is stored.
