118.10 - General discussion (PC)

The release 118.10 has been deployed on December 13. Please use this thread for general feedback.



The 118.10 release brings a number of features and fixes, including further station exterior renovations, a defender missile system overhaul, further iteration on Inception (the first stage of the New Player Experience), as well as improvements to the interface for in game flight academy videos and additional iteration on NPC mining operations.

The full details of all changes and improvements are available in the patch notes, for a high level overview head over to EVE Updates.

To report issues, please use the thread 118.10 - Issues (PC).
For Mac users, there is, as always, a thread on the 118.10 - Mac forums for discussion of this expansion.

I am not sure whether I like this creepy locust chirping when I move my mouse over lists (chat user lists, market entry lists, etc) ... actually, that chirping sounds up on every single UI item you can click on or interact with. That's a wee bit over the top...

Ok, after having done my daily trading trips I definitely do not appreciate the chirping at all. I move my mouse over so many interactable UI items that the chirping never ends and I feel like I am surrounded by a locust swarm. And I have not even started ratting where I have to lock stuff and have to move my mouse over even more Overview items.

UI clicks are way to sharp. And whats with the sound when closing windows? (sounds like an audio glitch) And jump clone sound? Almost like it's turning into a kids browser game.

What is the point of a sound for closing a window? oO Sounds should be reserved for important things, not every single, simple, mundane click or mouse movement you perform.

that nerf done to bombers is stupid along defender missile improvements. that was waste of time. let defender launcher to be fitted to all ships .. ccp forgot that NOT ALL players use bombs when doing stealth bomber work. defender missiles were useful to counter missile spamming rapid launcher ravens , barghests and sush

CCP has Nef RorQ too much from 200 mil per hour to 130 mil with the new drones
I do not know what the CCP thinks up but I feel taken by the ass 9 trillion expensive vessels that are restricted by a core for 5 minutes plus it's worse to pull isk in relation to a Thanatos which costs 25% of the price
which pulls 200 mil plus loot into an hour and can run off the grid immediately some enter ..

we still can't set Custom Tracking Position for new "Incarna" camera.
my stratios still try to hide behind HUD.
and we still can't disable stupid undocking animation without disabling other dynamic camera movements.

Ok, what did you do?

Now Aura chides me because I have the temerity to try and open a cargo from a wreck that is out of range. I already know this...it allows me to home in on it and open it when in range.

Also, I can't target anything out of range without Aura chipping in. I know it's out of range...I'm trying to target it quickly for when it is..

Is this now EVE for Dummies? I will have to turn Aura off now because that is properly annoying.

Is there anything else you have broken?

CCP very like annoying things.
DONG, Flashing kill confirmation, ads in hangar, undocking and dock animation, now Aura.
Did i forgot something?

So far, I've been fine with the changes to Aura. I miss the degree of contempt she would occasionally put out, sure, but I can understand the need to redo the voices for the new tutorial.

This "need to be in range," however, has already become annoying and I've been dealing with it for all of 15 minutes.

Can you point me towards your bug report for the "blueprint-bug"? I'm not sure what issue you are referring to.

Maybe the one about BPCs being displayed as BPOs in the "Show Contents" window when they are in a container? That one has been around for ages ... again, because it was fixed in a past patch and then reappeared in a later patch and since then was never fixed.

yep, this one.

But not only while it is in a container. It doesnt matter where it is or what kind of BPC it is. When you post the BPC into the chat the BPC is shown as BPO (since the update for the carrier I guess). Even if you klick on "show info" while the BPC is somewhere (container, hangar, shipinventory,..)

Edit: the "show info" bug doesn't appear always. But sometimes.

I'm glad to see this was fixed. It was minor, sure, but getting some Civie Scourge Missiles thrown at them to use with the Civie Launcher is still better than them thinking they have to wait 1-2 hours.
