A rogue from the past

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am Alexandra Belani Li with a question. My incarnate self has been sold into slavery, and thus consciousness transferred to a newer body. I wonder if in the course of missed years, there might be some of my former comrades at arms lurking around the galaxy. Previously and formerly a dedicated free-captain of the stars, I am seeking an alliance with those who still value the inherent freedom of star travel - of those whose active rebellion draws trepidation and fear from the alliances and empires who would seek to oppress and control a free people. I am a former pilot of the star fraction, and I still have an axe to grind. If anyone may wish to accommodate or accompany me, send message and I will reply in kind.

Love and Grievous Murder,

Alexandra Belani,
Former Free Captain and Pioneer

SniggWaffe is recruiting private military contractors. As a nomadic bunch, we protect our own, we teach you to fight. You can take those skills and use them to assert your independence.

As far as a true ideology that takes primacy over other matters like power and money... you won't find much of that around, these days. Not amongst organizations that matter.

It's not a pretty truth, but it's a truth.

You may find, as I have, that quite a few former Star Fraction members are under the banner of our coalition, in one alliance or another.

Only the liberty of the individual assures the prosperity of the whole. And this foundation must be defended.

Star Fraction. Now there's a name that still holds meaning to some. Exactly what meaning I suppose depends a bit on the individual. Unfortunately, the ideals of Star Fraction didn't prove competitive in New Eden's marketplace of ideas as ideals like that just don't pay the bills, so you'll find that if you manage to even track down any members of note they'll have left those behind just as they did the name.

It's a pity, because New Eden should have room for that sort of ideology put into practice somewhere.

I wonder if Rote Kapelle still holds any of those philosophies?

Shameless self-plug right there Mister Jason! And you've only been a member of your corporation for mere five days!

The only suggestion I have is to keep doing your own thing Miss Belana! You are a strong and independent capsuleer who won't need no corporation!

That or join my corporation! Become a Guristas, sit around doing nothing but science and generally be unproductive at that too! Yup, worst corporation ever. All we got going for us (mostly for me) is a spiffy logo!

There are many places that, in practice, function like some, or many, of Star Fraction's ideals put into practice (often with less of a focus on a particular personality, one of SF's larger flaws)

But if you pointed out this functional similarity, they'd probably deny it because it's not by design.

Hypocritical.

At least SniggWaffe has a claim to being an actual nomadic alliance. Haighare Pirates do not have a single registered kill to their name. What exactly could you even offer a former Star Fraction member?

Sorry if this sounds mean, but don't throw stones in glass houses. I suppose you pointed this out yourself, but I think groups like SniggWaffe, Shadow Cartel, Snuffed Out, Mercenary Coalition, et alia, are more aligned with a former lowsec combat pilot's goals. Of course I could be wrong, but since she's selling herself as a rogue...

What can I offer? Absolutely nothing! Yup!~

I just hate big corporations and saw no harm in trying to poach them a member for myself. I'm lonely okay!

Plus, there's more to life than fleets and combat and roaming! Throwing every capsuleer with a pulse and more than two brain cells to the same corporations just doesn't sit well on my stomach!

You sure do get around. This is the third organization you've joined within the year is it not?

Not really. He's been moving through the extended network of PanFam. His departure from his previous corporation coincides fairly well with their departure from Pandemic Legion's network. If he decides to go back into j-space, look for him in Hard Knocks.

Believe it or not, some people have not found the group of people they want to fly with for years yet John. And some of those who have, have not yet been around for the years once they found it.

Huh.. who knew. Then again, when it comes to most null groups capsuleers are a notoriously fickle lot.

Welcome back.

SniggWaffe is a decent group. I'd be remiss though if I didn't mention Pandemic Horde as a choice. Many of the values of the old Free Captains can be found here. You'll even find that one of the more verbal Fractionists is a member, though she hasn't graced us with her presence here in a while.

That dream of rebellion and free travel is still alive. There are pockets of resistance throughout the Galaxy. While there are new places to travel, there are new dangers. The governments are much the same, but every day more and more Capsuleers see through their veneer of civility and chart their own course.

I'd be curious to see how the Star Fraction philosophy adapts to the current state of affairs.

Fly safe!

Because nullsec groups are far more dynamic. They can shift regions, doctrines, cultures, and direction many times over the course of their life. You could be a great fit for the corp one month and not at all the next. Which is why a lot of nullsec pilots have lots moderate blocks of time in several corps and until they find their group and then they usually stay for years.

I moved staging systems nine times this year, main doctrines at least five times. Our objectives changed god knows how many times. Some people who were around at the beginning of the year have been scarce for months so the people I fly with are not exactly the same people.

Obviously PL is the very most extreme example of this but just take a look at all the political upheval in nullsec this year ..in these last six months. Fish that live in lakes probably wonder why fish that live in rivers do not stay in one place as often too.

The truth is when everything else is moving you have to stay moving too.

As strength goes.

Thank you friends for your kind words and suggestions. I am most excitedly interested to find a group of like minded capsuleers to fly with Do any of you have a communication channel or message board in which I might learn more and inquire?

Sorry for the personal question, I know you are a returning pilot but what can you fly on your current clone?

Can confirm, I have at least 4 false identities for spying on Horde.

One of them might even be Mokk. Cool

Unfortunately, I am still in the very basic frigate class; however, within the next week or so I should be equipped to fly interceptors with moderately decent electronics skills. My former clone was a strong Caldari electronics pilot, but unfortunately all was lost in the transition. I still have the instincts and talent, but my higher learning must be recommitted.
