due to so many citadels in system sometimes game freezes and eventually crash to desktop. some systems are flooded with citadels so they cause lag . will there be done anything to solve this issue?

lets cap the citadels/engineer complex to max 20 citadel and 20 ec structures

Thanks for your input,

CCP is currently testing how having large number of citadels affects system performance. Please see this post for more details :

If you are experiencing freezes in 6-C, which are not caused by loading the system / the grid, then please send a bug report including logs and give as us much detail as possible.
If you are crashing: Please always send a bug report (except if you know that it is caused by your machine).

It would be quite bad if we implement restrictions on Singularity (but not on Tranquility), and in 1-2 years the same issues are happening on Tranquility in busy systems.

TQ also experiencing horrendous problems and doing anything is a headache - I feel like in the 90s, especially right after dt.

opening right click menu
jumping
undocking
ejecting drones into space
collecting drone back
anomalies are visible about 30 minutes after dt
issuing commands
PI - I have no words this has now become a tedious task
even chat have delay

I think someone forgot to feed the hamsters

It's the excessive Citadel spam in 6-c. Moving forward it would be nice if citadels are cleared out on a weekly basis or moved to a special testing system of their own if no restrictions will be placed on them . The 6-c test environment is unusable most of the mirror and it doesnt help the bug hunters if they have no bug reports to investigate because people simple aren't testing anything. While people can use systems other than 6-c most people tend to stick to the main testing system. It is what it's there for after all. A cloud of Keepstars warping the grids is the reason for the lag . We all know that is the common denominator in 6-c . There is literally no reason anyone needs to have 5-10 Keepstars up in 6-c the entire mirror.

But aren't the same restrictions on high population tq systems? (Hubs)

Perhaps putting a 50 citadel cap on 6-C and making FD- the main citadel testing system as mentioned by somebody else might make for more interactive testing and force people who wish to put citadels down to take other citadels down which in turn would be testing the timer mechanic in the case that any bugs arise.

I guess CCP determined in the end that there was no performance impact.
