World News
Numerous Staff Quarantined Aboard Orbital Elevator In Muttokon
A number of employees of Freedom Extension have been placed in quarantine on board the orbital platform of a space elevator that services Muttokon II. The platform, which is owned by Freedom Extension, is currently utilized to deliver construction supplies to the planet for both Urban Management and Six Kin Development, who are working in partnership to redevelop commercial districts in several cities on the planet.

Zainou Owned Medical Center Sealed Off – Local Health Officials Decline To Comment
A medical center serving several of the southern districts of Myrskaa, the largest city on Oijanen II, has been completely sealed off by local health officials and law enforcement. At this stage, the reason for the shutdown of the Myrskaa District 36 South Medical Center is unknown. Rumors also continue to circulate locally that link the shutdown of the medical facility with reports of a crash landing in the early hours of this morning.

Issues and workarounds
Rubberbanding & Latency issues
A quick update about the investigations regarding latency and game performance issues. Several changes have been made in the last week from which we've seen notable improvements (e.g. noticeable decline in reports), but the investigation continues until we have eliminated the root cause(s).

Client Closed Unexpectedly - Try verifying the shared cache
If your game client doesn't start and reports something like "Client Closed Unexpectedly. Client Assigned to xxxxxxx has closed unexpectedly.", please try to verify your client cache: In the game launcher, go to the E menu in the upper right (next to the minimize icon.) Choose "Shared Cache..." and click "Verify" in that menu. Let it run to completion and then try again to start the client again. Of course, you are always welcome to contact our Customer Support team and get technical support.

Various
DB speed improvements
Another patch to the XML API has been deployed. This resulted in considerable database improvements regarding the XML API queries. Hooray for DB speed!

Temperate planets are rotating again!
Yay, our temperate planets are rotating again (they were stopped for orbital bombardments in DUST 514). This brings them in line with all the other planets. Check out this EVE Online: Timelapse video by zaqq (even though it is a bit older, it is still gorgeous!).

A new forum (software)
CCP Falcon points out that we are currently testing some new forum software which would lead to a new forum system. While it is yet too early for any details, there will be plenty opportunities for reviewing the current forum rules and guidelines. Please understand though, that we don't expect this to happen before April.

CCP Phantom did not wanted to mention one important event.
We celebrate the anniversary of a new "Incarna" camera in the game.
One year in complete silence!

Aura: "You need to be within range to execute this function."

Kimi Räikkönen: “Leave me alone, I know what I’m doing.”

THANK you to everyone at CCP for their constant hard work at continually making the Eve Universe a better place. Where else in any other video game anywhere do the developers actually try to LISTEN to players and make needed changes? CCP probably doesn't have unlimited time and personnel to devote to fixing issues or expanding game play so some things may take a long time to improve or may never happen at all but my personal opinion is that players should give more commendation instead of more complaints.

Try beating a dog all the time relentlessly for bad behavior. Now try praising and rewarding your dog constantly for good behavior. Compare the results over time between dogs. (Please don't actually do this. Dogs have feelings too. Just like employees working in the video game industry do.)
