Is the LP of Thukker Tribe really worth it?

Almost every hi-sec mission-runners run mission for SOE, because they have the second best LP store available in hi-sec. The first best one belongs to the 2 corps under the Thukker Tribe faction. https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/lpstore/buy/10000002/1000163 Look at this, their LP are worth more than 2k/LP at Jita BUY price.
This seems very good, but...

First, it's not very easy to get the standing for those 2 corps. You have to actually grind it because Thukker Tribe faction has no epic arcs, no career agents, no circle missions, no data-centre missions... And it has negative standing with almost all other factions. But if their LP is really as good as it looks, these efforts should be worth it.

Here comes the main problem —— the actual lv4 security agents.
The Thukker Mix corp has 2 lv4 security agents, both in 0.8 systems. Though SOE's LP isn't as worthy as their LP, but it has 2 lv4 security agents in 0.5 systems, where they give you more LP (and isk) for the same missions. So after the discount because of higher system security status, you may not get more isk/mission or isk/hr doing missions for them than for SOE. (Though I haven't really calculated it.)
The Trust Partners corp has 2 lv4 security agents, both in 0.6 systems with a true-sec between 0.55 and 0.6, so the discount isn't very great. But those 2 systems are in a constellation with 3 low-sec among 7 systems. So you'll get about half of your missions in low-sec, and if you search on the zkill-board you'll see people hunting mission ships there. It probably won't be a great problem for the usual mission runners, because declining half of the missions won't hit your standing very great. But for the blitzers aiming at more than 200mil/hr, who would already decline most of the missions, declining more missions might hurt the standing to an extend where the agent wouldn't talk to you any more, and then you'll have to go back to Lanngisi (thankfully it's only 6/7 jumps away).

Also I don't know about the actual mission locations of these agents. The main reason why Lanngisi is preferred above Apanake is that you get most missions within 2 jumps in Lanngisi, while the agent in Apanake usually send you 7 jumps away to deal with the burners. If these agents also tend to send you far away for missions, then obviously they're not good choices.

I just got enough standing to run lv4 missions for Trust Partners, and haven't ran any so far. Can somebody who has ran missions for them tell me whether it's really better to run missions for them than for SOE?

burners usually try to go to the next constellation so most agents will send you ~5 jumps for a burner. Lanngisi has a trade hub in the next constellation so it blocks burners going there

it is very hard to beat lanngisi for isk/hr, you need a pretty large isk/LP premium to do it. A rough guess would be something like double so ~3k isk/lp.

Well, in answer to your question about Thukker Tribe LP's being worth it, yes.

Years ago I use to mission exclusively for Thukker Mix to get their Shield Extenders which I believe are still a very hot item on the Market. I was working one level 3 and one level 4 Distribution Agents in Derelik Region. No other high level Agents available in high sec space there. As such I also completed all Storyline mission offers too.

Didn't take long to gain +10 standing with the Corp and Thukker Faction was almost +8.00 standing when I noticed I was getting very close to the 'No Fly Zone' for most of the Factions in Empire space. That's when I started working on the Faction Standing Repair Plan aka 'The Plan' due to needing access to major Trade Hubs in Empire space. However that's another story.

Getting back on topic, if I had declined those Storyline mission offers I never would have been in that situation and would have continued working for Thukker Mix to sell their Shield Extenders. I still have access to high level Thukker Agents and have often thought about rebuilding my Thukker Mix LP's but I prefer doing exploration. Also Republic Fleet Shield Extenders have the same attributes and seem to be more readily available in the Market, despite the fact they can only be gained from Faction Warfare LP Store.

Anyway, I don't know what Thukker items you're looking to sell. Just thought I'd share my story with you and say yes, in my opinion Thukker LP's are worth it, just don't accept their Storyline mission offers..

Good luck.

It's hard to beat SOE because the demand for their items is so high and they don't require tags.

Do some research before you post. Do Nomad implants and Thukker Cap Batteries have a low demand or require tags to exchange? Thukker Tribes' LP store definitely beats SOE's at current prices, and if you only do common security missions Thukker Tribe will also be a better choice. The only aspect that SOE beats Thukker is that Lanngisi is a paradise for burner missions.

Depends how you run missions. If you run only burners / bases + blitzing missions, then Tukker's are useless. Tried to do them and 75% ++++ burners / bases sent me to low sec. So it wasn't worth doing them because of that !

.8 rewards (lp/isk wise but not bounty-wise) is base*1.2 while .5 is base*1.5 . So the .5 system give 1.5/1.2=25% more LP|isk/mission than the .8. That is balanced if thukker LP value is 2000 and SoE LP value is 1600

The matter with .6 thukker is that you have half missions in LS.
- if you have eyes at LS gate, it's ok because nobody will try to gank you in a burner pocket : the gate limits the ship size ; if burner switch aggro they get wrecked ; you typically are here for 2 min so they can't change ship once they got you pinned. So the issue is only at gate. having a POS in each system with mobile depot to switch to travel fit would help I guess.
- if you don't they you have to forfeit half your interesting missions and do crappy blittzable missions instead to maintain an agent >-2 standing.

Plus, the burners typically send you to ~3 systems away, meaning you need some warp.

I think you've answered your own question here. Another thing with Thukkers is that it's very easy to deflate the market quickly for the items so this brilliant LP you see can drop down once you run them any more than sporadically. This is why I switched to SOE and other corps to run for. Your welcome to try but the hostility from most of Empire and the constant declines is far from worth it.

I researched Thukker back when Gevlon wrote his articles on farming them with mining missions.

My SOE comment was more generic in that they're very good at maintaining LP value in spite of lots of players running their missions, as opposed to finding an item that you try to keep secret.

There is also a practical aspect though. The Thukker security agent in Altrinur only gives roughly half the LP of the SoE agent in Apanake / Lanngisi for the same or comparable missions and the Molden Heath agents constantly want you to go to low sec next door so you decline a lot of missions. So even though the Thukker agents are better in theory, in practice, it doesn't work out so well, at least in my experience.

Altrinur does NOT only give half the LP as Lanngisi. They give you about 75% of the LP. And obviously that's also multiplied by a higher isk/LP ratio than you get at Lanngisi. The reality is that if the isk/LP spread is greater than 500 (which it always is), then the return per mission is always greater at Altrinur. That's just math.

The sticking point with Altrinur is that the burner missions (but not the regular L4 missions) are spread over longer distances, which heavily impacts the isk/hr return. And even that's close at the normal isk/LP spread between SOE and Thukker Mix.
