I still have an odd low fps bug. I get low fps in some solar systems, but not others. For example, in Urlen, my fps is fine. But as soon as I jump into Sirppala, my fps drops to 4. Urlen has 40 players in it, Sirppala; 15.

This happens in other systems too, and its always the same systems. Sometimes it there everywhere in a solar system (example: Jita). Sometimes its localized. For example in Sirppala, the Urlen gate is bad, but at the Anttiri gate, its fine. But after jumping into Anttiri, my fps again drops to 4. In Anttiri, it stays low everywhere.

This is not intermittent in time, Its always the same locations in the same solar systems.

Graphics turned about as far down as I can get them, "download everything" is on.

I mentioned this in the other feedback thread, but it might be more applicable to Mac clients. I'm on LInux, but basically the wine emulation is the same.

No asteroid environment in ice belts anymore. Regular belts are fine. Just no little floaty bits in ice belts.

Using the newer dev version 2.6 p 27 wine.

Also...Atrocious sound mixer now...

Otherwise great work. Looks pretty, as long as you're not in the ice belt.

Some days ago I have sent a bug report because of crazy high CPU activity and heat generation during the hacking mini game.

With todays small patch (May, 10th) the heat generation is extended to every undock. Exactly: some seconds or one jump after a station or citadel undock. The cooling fan starts to take speed until maximum, hot air is blown out of the computer and a bit later the system shuts down the CPU and the game starts with permanent and significant lagging - unplayable in any PvP situation!
Heat generation stops some seconds after docking.
This behavior is perfectly reproducible.

Setup: Macmini, 2,3GHz i7, 8 GB ram, OSX 10.11.6, intel HD graphics 4000, screen 1920x1080
ingame graphic setting for structure details at medium and all other graphic settings at either low or off.

With this effects EVE is little to no fun to play. I'm afraid of damaging my computer in the long run.
I love this game, but I will not risk my computer for it!
Please fix this.
Thank you.

Thx for fixing this! GJ

No, sorry - there are news:
The CPU heat is back! The same intensity as before, now it is while belt- or anomalies-ratting!
Crazy CPU usage, crazy heat → crazy lag!
Unplayable.

Well...

When ever I try to launch a client, the client comes up yet it stays blank with different errors in the logs.

Hard to play this game while this unexpectedly comes up.

Running a MacBook Pro 13Inch mid-2010.

2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo 2.0
8 GB RAM
NIVIDIA GeForce 320M 256mb

Yes, I have to run Eve on potato mode much of the time.

Been noticing a lot more lag on the system of late... going to try to remember to file my log lite files for CCP Snorlax. I used to be really stable, but not I'm getting a crash once or twice a week on my main account (doesn't seem to effect my multi-boxed accounts)

No kill mark showing on some systems.

Tested on lat 2013 Mac Pro with shader set to hiegh, not seeing kill mark, on ANY ship.
Tested it on an other mac system (imac mid 2010) and able to see the killmarks on shafer set to medium. ANd I am looking at the same ships that I had looked at on the Mac pro.

This is a bug.

its not because the ship did not get the kill mark as the kill marks are visible when logued on the second system with lower shader settings. and it is not because the shader are set to low, I can set them to any value and it is still the same.

I did open a ticket and the rep that looked at it only looked as far as the tile of the ticket. forgoing the information in the ticket and not looking at the screen shots.
