  • NRDS standing list problem in EVE Technology and Research Center

NRDS groups have asked CCP to increase the size of the contact list for years. They never have. Do some regular housekeeping on your stuff and it won't be an issue.

sure they do, it's just a screencap from http://eveboard.com/pilot/IronBank

but if he is that guy then he's admitting to ban evasion

injectors are a net SP/ISK sink

Use more injectors than you're already using I guess?

The same nda that allows null sec alliances can make huge amounts off the market by being informed of changes well before the rest of the playerbase. Of course the rest of us normal players find it impossible to compete with that.

I don't doubt that things like this have happened before, but you'd be pretty dumb to leak NDA privileged information even in private chats. Logs get leaked all the time.

  • Dev Blog: EULA Changes Coming With EVE Online: Ascension in EVE Information Center

CCP can't devote resources to monitoring gambling sites without diverting attention from other activities to maintain the integrity of the game. If a multibillion dollar company like Valve finds it easier to kill it altogether, CCP most likely has no other option.

    Because meta.

No, the new incarnation of anti-subcap caps doesn't give you nigh-invincible blap titans or wrecking balls.

Is it that hard to believe that a group dedicated to freighter ganking can be financially self-sufficient?

  • With no EVElopedia, who do we go to now? in EVE Communication Center

It's almost like you can build upon an existing wiki instead of starting one from scratch!

Seriously, any "let's start an awesome EVE wiki!" project will be a massive pain for the person who ends up doing all of the work. It's easy to launch a wiki, but you'd also have to make the stylesheets and artwork so that it doesn't look like dog ****. You'd also need to use CCP SSO because it's the surest way to keep spammers away, unless you want to clean up RMT spam on a daily basis. There are multiple people who have figured this all out and laid the groundwork, and their wikis have plenty of content to build on.

  • With no EVElopedia, who do we go to now? in EVE Communication Center

Player-written documentation has always been superior to what CCP provides. Misleading, incorrect or incomplete information was far more prevalent in EVElopedia than on any decent player-run wiki, and the only people "vetting" the information on that wiki were ISD.

We already have eve-wiki.net and the EVE Uni wiki. Why create another one?

Loyalty makes people do such strange things doesn't it? Quite a few imperium members seem to be incapable of thinking that goons may be at an end, meanwhile the rest of eve is ripping their sov from them.

If I were goons and wanted to win, I'd use my spy network to smash a few enemies and show not to mess with goons. Find out about super movements or whatever and hit back, not all of your opponents are non-sov holders. Your whole mantra has been "blueball or decimate, aim to win" but it seems you have lost that will, sitting in saranen isn't going to win you anything.

you're right, goonswarm has absolutely never lost all of its space before

All it does is allow acquisition of isk at a faster rate than normal gameplay without that application. If the site were no longer allowed, they would not be able to achieve that same level of income, proving that it breaches that part of the EULA.

the eula clause you cite discusses acquiring in-game assets through gameplay

convincing a bunch of players to click "give money" isn't gameplay

  • EVEMon v3.0.0 in EVE Technology and Research Center

This isn't relevant to the 3.0 branch, but 2.2.2 (with default settings) continuously notifies the user if an account has no characters in training, even if the account is inactive. I'm hoping this behavior is unintended.

It wasn't just the name that changed.
