  • [WrG.] Wraithguard is Recruiting for small gang 0.0 npc space pvp. in EVE Corporations, Alliances and Organizations Center

Can confirm WrG is recruiting. I mean, you'll just lose all your capitals and supers to Tri and you can't undock anything larger than cruisers but at least you'll have a good fc like SCOTWRG to tell you to stay docked to deny Tri fights.

And your members will just join TRI fleets for content but WRG is dead but hey...join WRG????

  • How do we increase PvP in C5 and C6? in EVE Gameplay Center

    1. Remove/reduce cap escalation incentives, increase base site payout while also increasing difficulty.

    2. Dual statics for higher class.

    3. I'm not very impressed with the new rolling mechanics on spawn distance. I think we've given it a fair shot but I don't see it actually improving things, it just makes it harder to look for targets. Get rid of it.

I mean...those seem like the most realistic and highest potential ideas here.

  • So.... I hear there's a bear problem in c5 space in EVE Gameplay Center

These guys don't have a lot of ISK or SP, but they throw billions every week at other groups trying to get their members content. All this'll do is probably drive even more people out of c5 space. Maybe that's what the bears want, less people to drop their fleets, idk. o/

Diary of a Trapped Geddon, Day 6

They say if life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

My bucket of lemons are no longer fresh. They have been slowly dehydrating in the refrigerator which is the cold steel coffin of my Armageddon. It feels like the crisper drawer in King Tut's fridge. My lips grow chapped, my stock of Large Crates of Spirits is running dry, my Fedo is defecatng on the Tourists. Soon I shall have to resort to eating Long Limbed Roes.

I got my bucket of lemons by rolling my wormhole. I had recently lost the predecessor to
SS Will Pay For Exit, thanks to some Low Class thugs and spotty intel. I had purchased my current Geddon of a man in Dodixie. He had chest hair with a thick gold chain dangling in it, gold teeth, and smelled of Quafe. He promised me it had never been in a crash, low mileage. I suspect I was lied to about its mass, he said one number, but it mustn't have been true, because I got trapped out.

i had prepared myself for this eventuality. In my hold I have probes, a depot, scanning modules. A partial refit, including a couple of stabs and a nano. I was prepared like a Boy Scout. Except, of course, the probe launcher. A bit vital. Instead of that, a bucket of lemons.

Nevertheless, I do my daily drive by of the foe's POS architecture in my pod. I leave my Geddon to stretch my legs, at the sun. perhaps someone will nick it, but I do not care. I note that the foe have put fuel into the last small tower, for it has Teh Bubblez. It is online. this is supposed to deter me? My dear booys, you should have at least used one of the spare hardeners from your large tower to fill that EM hole.

I put on my comfy slippers, launch my Curator II's and spend 3.5 hours shooting it while watching re-runs of everybody's favorite sitcom, Roseanne.

I get interrupted at 48% shield, when one of the local signs in and drops a Chimeera on the POS. He reps the POS and deploys fighters. I immediately drop my bowl of Long Limbed Roes and scuttle off to my safespot and sign out.

Is that what we have come to? i think. I wonder if anyone would have their interest piqued, to know I had the magic to summon the Chimera?

i sign in later, and discover he is lazy. The POS is at 63% shield, so i start again. I am on Season 2 of Roseanne when the POS enters reinforcement. It will come out at 2 a.m. Kamchatka time. On a school night.

We shall see, Yuri, whose time zone reigns supreme.

This is brilliant. If I find your wormhole, I won't give you an exit. But I will bring resupplies to make this more interesting. Maybe a depot with refits? More curator II's? Gardes?

Why evict them in the first place? If anything they're just a great target. I remember in the days of Exhale. how we practiced our strategy to beat their pantheon fleet. Granted I'm not familiar with how they are these days, but I imagine it's similar now. Just 100% bears running sites. If you keep them around its just more chances to kill :).

Also, stop being a nub and shield tank all your dreads. If you're worried about getting jumped (and you should be), you'll need to be shield fit if you want to have a chance at killing the shield nags they'll drop on you. Your PVE fits should also be PVP fit. Do it correctly, and maybe this http://www.eve-razor.com/killboard/?a=kill_related&kll_id=619522 or this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK7nVB_Y4Lo will happen to you. (The video was kindof fail actually, we weren't correctly PVP fit and didn't have points for our dreads/lokis)

And obviously you have armor tank refits for your dreads in case you need reps from carriers, so there's literally no reason not to go shield tank.

Shield PVE dreads suck ass. the short time where I ran sites in shield ships was very painful.

as for getting jumped? sure, shield dreads are better in dread vs. dread PVP.
that said, it makes no difference unless you have more ships on standby other than your site fleet (as BITIN clearly did in the linked BR) as the attackers will always be better fit and prepared than you and you'll die anyway 95% of the time.
hell, more often than not you'll just be attacked by subcaps and armour dreads hit T3s a LOT better than shield fits.

also, people get jumped a LOT less often than people make it out to be.

PS: getting attacked mid site by random nullseccers in battlecruisers is NOT the same as 'getting jumped'
    ]

I've ran both doctrines and really it wasn't hard to refit for tank when your dread was primary, so you don't really lose utility as a shield dread (sebos, tracking computers), plus your lows have plenty of TE's. I'm guessing that was the part you had trouble with.

And in that BR it was actually a very significant amount of time before "backup" arrived. They were still dropping, and we still would've won. And the people die 95% of the time because they use single armor rep nags/revs, or their lokis don't have ECCM available from the carrier. Yea sometimes the HK/SSC/LZHK coalition lands with 50 t3's and unless you're dreads are split you're screwed, but that's hardly 95% of the time and you still could've taken some down with you.

BTW that was an 80 man gang in the first link. Maybe it doesn't show up since we were so well prepared they didn't get a single kill, but that still definitely counts as getting "jumped".

Do yourself a favor and find a different system. black holes are much better than they used to be but still one of the worst for PVE.

As for the PVE stuff, your ships should be armour tanked and you should be using archons and moros' if at all possible.

Agree with above, lived in a c5 black hole for about 3 months, it was possible to do it but the heavier the tank the better. We used revs over Moros for the better tank and slot layout. Moros was usually the 2nd and 3rd dred in, but always used archons. If you get jumped the archon is a more solid tank. Side note, if you get jumped with 2 caps on the field, warp the other 2 in plus pull the triggers. Any sub cap ship on the field will be alpha'd with that amount of incoming dps, or they'll primary you, 50/50 shot.

You're spot on with the heavy recharge dual-rep Archon. However, Revelation is one of the worst dreads to use as a primary, especially in a black hole where webs are less effective. While the armor tank on a rev may be greater, you're on field for a MUCH longer time to take damage because the tracking is so horrible. Combine that with weaker webs and you've got inefficiency 101. And honestly, with only two waves on field I've never had trouble tanking in an armor moros, so I'm not sure how you're fitting your moros's.

Also, stop being a nub and shield tank all your dreads. If you're worried about getting jumped (and you should be), you'll need to be shield fit if you want to have a chance at killing the shield nags they'll drop on you. Are you now trying to distance yourself from your deep history with QEX/BU? How is that list you and BU had going?

Because lets be honest this eviction attempt is clearly a come back from the horrible deal that should never have been made when we let them live in WH space. I just hope others see this for what it was and develop a list of their own, you know content and all that.

No, it is not, C4 income is actually nearly twice as good. I feel sorry for you.

I was making 200mil+/hour/toon, but it required blingy faction battleships, and some coordination, and an hour of hole rolling a day, so the numbers a little less, and there were further refinements we could've done but meh, I'll stick with it.

    What were your numbers?

I was making serious spacebux when I was in a c4, but granted I used 2b Machariels and Nightmares in a gang, instead of 1-2 tengus in a C3.

CCP has such a bad understanding of W-space.

The first step, and Hyperion was not exactly a "step", would be for CCP to actually start viewing wormholes as an "intended" place for players to live and reside. The whole "we never intended for players to live in wormholes" is an old, tired cop-out, meaning that players are making a partially developed section of the game viable.

This is that part, 5 years later, where CCP actually looks at wormholes and makes adjustments, changes, and applies content to drive people into a completely developed section called "wormholes".

I believe the last update I read from CCP was that that view was absolutely not true and they love what we've "done with the place". Just saying, B.O.D's and all.

  • Simple fix? in EVE Gameplay Center

I think everyone can agree that lower class wormholes need some ISK producing love.

Could the fix be something as simple as increasing the number of waves of sleepers spawned per site?

This would increase the loot dropped, but marginally increasing the risk, as a pilot would be out of the POS longer to clear & harvest the site. (Also increasing the possibility for PvP via ambushes)

I'm of the opinion the WH space needs more pilots, period. In any Way, Shape, or Form. This includes, non-consensual pvp INDY alts, and the carebears that everyone hates yet somehow bring the most content. Only way to do that is to increase rewards in lower classes.

While increasing the number of waves would work, why not just bite the bullet and increase the cost/spawn of blue loot? Bring lower classes in line with higher ones and have the nanoribbons be only ~20% of a site's isk. They can always nerf later if it gets abused to all hell and doesn't bring more conflict.

  • Server Issues During ATXII Day 7 in EVE Communication Center

The "pre weapons check" comment was absolutely folly, pure and simple. You insult everyone by insisting on that. If the determining factor is that there are good reasons the tournament has to press on, simply stick to that, and do not deviate (or better yet explain). Again, it was fairly insulting to read that comment as if they're supposed to be well versed in determining bugs in the system Roll
