  • Blood Agent burner - getting creamed in spite of guides and skills in EVE Gameplay Center

The fit Ploing Posted. You need something like 75% cap stable to have enough cap to stay stable with the blood nos on you, I think it's an extra 12-13 cap/s.

I use a coreli a-type small armor Repairer as it is cheaper than the centii or corpii reps. but AFAIK the centii and corpii reps work with max cap skills.

  • Caldari L3 sec in EVE Gameplay Center

Damage type isn't too much of an issue in lv3s most of the NPCs have such low HP totals that a high dps setup will chew through whatever and not care too much. Also kinetic will be the main damage type you want to use in caldari space anyways. They look very similar, CNI will have more pure missile dps, but the ONI will have a bit more dps with drones. Also the ONI is a bit faster and has some utility high slots which might come in handy. I also really like the range bonus on the ONI, will let it kite any overwhelming NPC damage.

I also have to ask, why these two ships? I don't really think of either when it comes to lv3s. I think I'd prefer the ferox, or gnosis if alpha. Gun damage is instant and can hit at rather long ranges, and I vastly prefer it to missile damage. Also warp speed is important but need enough dps to run the missions fast enough to make warp speed the limiting factor. And I don't know where that tradeoff occurs. Warp speed mach or t3c can hit that point but they do a ton of dps too.

I fully recommend the cap stable fit it's all of a 5 dps difference, totally worth it to take all the micro management out of the fight. Warp in lock the burner, keep range, turn on all the mods, and go get a drink. If it's still alive when you get back turn the heat on the guns. I usually turn on the heat when it his ~30% armor, get consistent kills before my guns burn out.

  • Strategic Cruisers and their role as Logistics in EVE Gameplay Center

what are you trying to do, you mention fleet fights, but your setup, well it gets deleted near instantly with fleet fight numbers.

it might be worth it if you are running a few of these with 1 or 2 command bursts on each ship, really need to be using those highs for more reps, Probably should drop the covert cyno and probe launcher too. As far as the rest of the fit goes probably want more buffer and cap stuff.

if you are just dicking around doing pve with an alt or two then the fit might be fine.

  • Any good place to discover old module names? in EVE Gameplay Center

Typically they have the old names in the dev posts with the new names, but apparently not for webs? https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=468973

and old versions of EFT will have all the names, but not what they changed into. It's not always clear what the mods got shifted into.

  • Choosing a burner mission hub in EVE Gameplay Center

Lanngisi works because the mission spawn algorithm tries to avoid sending players through Hek as it is a busy system. In that constellation there is nothing preventing a mission spawn in a nearby constellation so you are going to get most burners 3-5 jumps out.

  • Burner Mission - Ship advice to solo them including fittings in EVE Gameplay Center

you can bring cruisers (no t3c) and even t1 BCs into the burner base missions Vagabond and deimos are the suggested ships.

Frigs don't really have the EHP to survive the massive damage of the talos, sure they can evade them for the most part but that one wrecking shot will probably kill you as you seem to be finding out. Maybe a caldari/gallente t2 ship would have the resists to eat a shot or two, but it sounds pretty sketchy to me.

I've heard of people using t3ds for the mission, but like frigs if you screw up you die.

  • IS EVE FREE TO PLAY OR NOT ?? HELP in EVE Communication Center

that message usually only pops up if another client is logged in on the same computer. With alphas you can only use one client at a time. If you aren't also using another client, well that is weird.

The ship you are in shouldn't affect your ability to log in at all. If you are in an omega ship in space you can fly it until you dock up, although it is very likely that the various modules equipped will go offliine due to alpha restrictions. if you are already docked you will have to leave the ship to undock.

  • Ships for Burner Missions in EVE Gameplay Center

overall players have found a bunch of ways to deal with the burner missions, and they have been pretty well documented in these threads:

burner thread on new forums: https://meta.eveonline.com/t/burner-mission-ship-advice-to-solo-them-including-fittings/9580?u=chainsaw_plankton
burner thread on these forums: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=369477&find=unread

note with the forum switch over (tomorrow?) these links probably won't work after that. Both threads should be pretty easy to find in the missions forums though.

going to need to start with which burner mission it was, and what your fit is. The garmur is mainly useful for the team burner missions, where it can kite and DPS from range, polarized rockets are the main fit.

Garmur might work for some of the pirate burners, but I've never actually tried it there. Going to need a pretty big tank for most of those, and probably some webs and/or painters to apply damage.

  • Information Request For 3 Box Setup in EVE Gameplay Center

1a. you will spend so much time in warp using 3 clients to run one mission is just going to be an inefficient click fest.

1b. this is a good method. I've been playing around with cap stable setups and can pretty easily dual box 2 characters. if I had a 3rd monitor I'd try 3. the cap stable setups are also disconnect and kid friendly. Fits and some ideas on the new forums, still a bit work in progress, have some room to improve the fits:

3 & 4, can't really comment on incursions or lowsec stuff, looks like multiboxing FW missions would be pretty good money as long as you have the standings to run for the winning side. I'm thinking of starting a few new accounts to grind standings with each of the FW corps so I can freely move around and chase the LP.

yep, easy to copy/paste prices and update a few orders in a few seconds, and as said by someone else use the mouse wheel to change by .01 if you want to order the prices in a certain manner.

What it looks like to me is that the item is assembled, meaning it can't be sold on the market. Try rightclicking the shirt and seeing if it has a repackage option in the menu. Repackaged items will have a number on them showing how many items are in the stack. in this case there is no number.

It seems that you can't repackage it. Seems like a bug to me, since you can put up buy orders on the market, but are unable to sell it through the market.

    yep that sounds unintended

  • Large neuts being 100% effective vs small targets seems, broken? in EVE Communication Center

for years carriers were limited to using large neuts, cap neuts are a rather new item. I assume they are intended to be used in cap vs cap fights, which is why they are designed to be ineffective vs subcaps.

  • Farewell Old Forums in EVE Communication Center

For the new forums if you go into settings there is a wide layout that I think works a bit better.

Will miss having separate pages for longer threads, with the endless scrolling everything just starts looking the same after a while.

that said I won't miss this forum eating my posts all the freaking time.

  • need system jump in BOWHEAD in EVE Communication Center

if you want to move ships in low/null with a jump drive you have carriers and dreads for that

a t2 jump freighter bowhead might be interesting though. I'm not immediately against the idea other people may have better arguments for/against it.

  • New Proteus Mission Runner Fit in EVE Gameplay Center

what level missions, and high/low/null fit?

The first thing I noticed on my proteus was the low CPU.

This is one possible variation on my old lv3 blitz fit, I would think it could do lv4s if you just swap a few of the lows for faction hardeners. Could probably also drop to a medium cap battery as the large makes it over stable, shouldn't really need the MWD and Rep running at the same time. And there is also the option to swap to the MWD subsystem to lower the cap use there. Could also throw on the cov ops sub.

  • LVL 4 SOE in EVE Gameplay Center

what's your mega fit and how are your skills? Just swapping to a mach isn't going to make everything better if you don't have the skills to use it. I'd suggest sticking to a t1 BS just to learn the missions then upgrade to the mach once you know what you are doing and have the skills to fly it. Kronos is pretty good too, but again gotta skill up to get into it, so might as well learn how to with the megathron. I'm assuming you are in lanngisi, so angels have a kinetic hole and like to come up close, perfect for blaster kronos. There are also some missions vs serpentis where kin/therm is great too.

and if your skills are really low, it would probably be better to ship down and go run level 3 missions. You should be able to chew through a bunch of level 3s and make more over time, than slowly running a level 4 that you aren't skilled to run. I'd suggest either a megathron with hypers, lots of damage mods, and sensor boosters. A brutix with rails, a lot of damage mods, and either hypers or locus rigs. or a railgun tengu/proteus. The t3cs with warp speed fits and rails are very good at blitzing lv3s.

Tengu probably won't be fast but it should complete missions no problem. The dps ceiling on the tengu is just a bit too low for me. for lv4s I'd probably go missiles, but it can do plenty of dps with guns too. I need to play around with the new setups.

  • Team burners: your RNG experience? in EVE Gameplay Center

1 in 100 sounds low, I wouldn't be surprised to hear they nerfed the drop rate though, because it does feel a bit lower than what It used to be. A lot of the drops are the cheap armor platings, shield resist amps, or hardeners. Sometimes a faction gun/launcher, and typically the best is a faction damage mod.

I've never kept any sort of log though.

guristas are slow and fat, angels are small and fast, what works for one may not work for the other.
