    Shocked

Wow, CCP posting here in the forums.

Thank you very much for playing. Definitely please come back and visit us more often.

  • Dev blog: PLEX Changes On The Way! in EVE Information Center

Nice Win - Win situation you created for yourselves CCP games.

Most F2P games have many currencies to dazzle their customers,
but you have chosen to stick with just the "one".... PLEX

And for bookkeeping reasons it can still be tracked as deferred debt on the balance sheet.
    source: http://marketsforisk.blogspot.nl/p/ccp-financials-my-attempt.html

By increasing the granularity of the old Plex into new plex (500 pieces)
the Company can synthetically increase demand for the new plex commodity.

If Alpha clones try very very hard, one day they can scrounge up 500 pieces.

This higher demand for the same commodity (the new plex pieces) will no doubt
increase it's comparable ISK value to the old Plex, and since you soon get more
isk value out of your rl $$$ for plex, the supply Volume will gradually increase to.

And there we have it: the Company wins on two fronts, by selling more Plex volume
on one side and writing that deferred income with a higher turnover time in the books.

ps: watch out, Icelandic is again returning to the international market :)

Good thing you are moving away from multiple in game currencies, usually a F2P game tends to bombard you with many types Pirate

    Quote:
Q: With smaller PLEX, will I be able to buy less than 30 days of Omega time?
A: We currently we have no plans regarding smaller game time packages.

    edit
PS: the "new" plex unit is the equivalent of 1hr 26 min 24 sec (30day/500plex)
What conversation rate might CCP games possible use in the future Question

    here is a hint

Q: Will prices change in the New Eden Store?
A: Prices may change after the conversion from Aurum to PLEX as

not all prices will be possible to convert at even numbers.

  • Steve Ronuken for CSM XII in Council of Stellar Management

I do not agree with everything you say, but you are the best proven candidate, voted no.1, best of luck Cool

  • Erika Mizune (aka Yumene) Running for CSM XII ~ in Council of Stellar Management

    Just voted for you Cool

  • I run for CSM on the platform of Completing Captians Quarters. in Council of Stellar Management

CCPgames dropped the ball on this one years ago, with their own build Carbon engine.
As paying customers we sadly have to look elsewhere for a proper Ambulation (WiS) Roll

Good try though, wish you are on the ballot, but for whatever reason the Company
has not put you on the voting list, a sign of things to come.

How much does it cost to maintain the Japanese language support versus how much revenue do the Japanese customers provide?

Extrapolate this into the near future:

Right, so this was just a cash grab that CCP pulled to get players interested in a ship only to run it back into uselessness 2 months later after players had invested heavily in the new ship.

All you had to say is that you guys are finding new and interesting ways to milk your player base for cash, and they put you at the helm of it all.

Well, I guess that answers the question about whether anyone in PL bought PLEX to buy Rorquals... Lol

Seriously, how has someone who's played as long as the average PL player not figured out that if something looks too good it probably is and is going to get nerfed...

I haven't mined since the day they were released, while you're over here leaping to conclusions.

To think I'm some rare fringe case where people bought plex proves you have a tiny zika ravaged mind.

LOTS of people injected rorquals, you can look at the injector market to see that as it calmed down after the rorqual release.

And do you think any of those people would have purchased them if the end result would have been anything near a 10 billion isk version of 2 hulks?

No, so its a simple case of bait and switch, a **** play by CCP and if you think they didn't set out to gouge you like that you're nuts, this is classic CCP digging for pennies in the couch.

Its a trash way to treat your player base after all these years.

EDIT: And as far as 'looks to good to be true' mining still made less than any other profession. Super ratting can net you 400+/hr and yet they go after mining.

CCP Games being classy as usual when it comes to selling skill training "time", it's their "time" and your dime Roll

    Hey Guys Big smile

Thanks for the comments, it's nice to know there's still a sizeable amount of people who care about the health of the forums, for sure.

We're actually in the middle of testing an entirely new forum system with the assistance of our Volunteer team, and we'll more than likely be looking to roll it out somewhere toward the summer Smile

The rollout of these forums is going to include a complete rewrite of the forum rules (relaxing quite a few of them), re-organizing our forum categories and the introduction of a new mandate for ISD in terms of how moderation is carried out, as well as a few other things that the community team will be blogging about in the not too distant future (more than likely soon after Fanfest, which happens in April).

The idea will be to promote more open and direct (but civil) discussion, and give the community a more relaxed place to talk about spaceships P

We'll have more information in the near future <3
