  • Zkill guide to Running for CSM 12 by rhiload in Council of Stellar Management

As an equally useless YouTuber for the spaceship Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game EVE Online, I feel compelled to chime in with a hot take:

Just because you bumble around with a face cam (optional), a microphone, video editing software, and use the ever so complicated "Upload File" function on YouTube, you're not necessarily the most ideal person to have on a 10 person council that talks about game balance, design, and the other assorted topics CCP throw at the CSM. You tend to need more going for you than that.

And yet you somehow couldn't convince CCP that Keepstars in WH space was a hilariously dumb idea.

Just because I send silly amounts of money to this game whenever I look at it sideways doesn't mean I think everyone should - or can. Free play means more people to kill and buy my crap! Yay! I doubt I will even bother owning an alpha unless maybe an extra scout or something.

yeah tell that to SWOTR.... god that game went down hill

SWTOR's woes weren't solely due to the free-to-play implementation. It was **** years before that.

    3) Pity any poor idiot in high-sec. This is the biggest buff to high-sec ganking that I've ever seen. There will be literally no reason why every EVE player shouldn't have a basic ganking account, if not lots of them (see #2).

We can already do that because of the last stupid feature the SP extractor. A suicide ganker has a very limited set of kills he needs. Once that is trained up you can simply extract and sell the excess SP to get the next PLEX. I reduced my subscriptions from 3 to 1 and have now 4 account, 3 of them get PLEXed this way.

So looks like you once again make a drama about nothing.

Ripard making up stuff on a subject he knows nothing about? I'm shocked!

Regarding this question in the Q&A:

Q: Are there restrictions on simultaneous log on for Alpha Clones?

It seems pretty obvious that you should NOT allow multiple alpha clones to be logged in simultaneously from one computer. Allowing this means that I, with a sufficiently powerful computer, can spin up a functionally unlimited number of characters with Mining Frigate trained, and use them to mine unburdened by the PLEX cost that would apply today. This would have the effect of reducing the cost of minerals to, functionally, zero, completely ruining a moderately healthy style of PVE.

They prohibit multiple Free Trial accounts from logging in on the same computer so I'm sure there's some feasibility in prohibiting Alpha characters/accounts from doing so.

You are from PL, you've been through this process as a group a good few times and anyone of you with knowledge of this process could have halted this in it's tracks by sharing the reward process. Many of us have not.

Being in PL doesn't give me exclusivity on the ability to use common sense nor reading comprehension. Just because you refuse to use either doesn't give you an excuse to act petulant.

  • The Shadow of Serpentis event, miscommunication and autism apparently. in EVE Communication Center

Like I get you're butthurt that your ability to overinflate the value of the BPC is screwed but jesus christ, you having a three page meltdown over it is stupid.

    TL;DR

CCP screwed the event winners over and still haven't delivered their bpc. Simultaneously they have released the bpc on SISI to the serp lp store. We have no period of exclusvity for our non-existant rewards after 450 + hrs put in.

Compared to other events, this one payed out less the more hrs you put in, would have had better odds and prizes doing Theomachy.

It's been less than a week, chill the **** out. Jesus.

Also oh no, they put the BPC onto the testing server. The humanity.

What areas of EVE are each CSM member going to be focused on? It's important to know WHO to contact, and not just how. Smile

The devs aren't listening to them anyway. The CSM is just a farce to give blueball blob alliances access to NDA information they use to further gain advantages over pretty much everyone else.
The idea behind it is great, but it hasn't worked for several CSM cycles and I don't see that changing. You're completely on your own.

**** they've caught on. The jig is up boys.
