Yes, because clearly gods would spend the rest of eternity mining, or building crap...or PVP'ing for that matter. Always rubbed me wrong, the "we are immortal, we are gods" bit of Eve lore.

It does map well to our current reality in the modern world, and its current trajectory. Specifically, this is humanity under capitalism as an overarching system to live under (I love capitalism, but not as the center of our world systems).

I'm sorry, you're not getting in right now. Maybe next month when we have some open positions I'll sponsor you in for a reasonable security deposit.

If you fall for this scam, you're an idiot.

The easiest way to get into a null sec corp is probably just to do loads of PvP. Just attack ships you stand no chance of winning against until someone invites you into a corp. It might be an idea to join a training corp first to learn some PvP basics first though.

    I think that's his point.

    Training alliance. Too long.
    Large alliance. Too long.

I think he just wants to join an alliance - without the BS - so he can "attack ships"

Well, in that case: RvB (Red vs. Blue) is the ticket.

First time listener and I rather enjoyed it. Good work so far!

  • EVE Community Spotlight #8 - The EVE Blogosphere in EVE Information Center

I love the Eve blogosphere and think this Community Spotlight was a good one (I love the whole series!). The blogs are one way I stay connected to Eve, even when I'm not subbed.

  • eSports in EVE Online in EVE Communication Center

    A bunch of cynical, Eve-douches in here....lawdy.

I for one can't wait to see this tournament, and the many, many more to follow. I'm a huge fan of the Alliance Tournament and feel that eSports will be great for Eve.

So I just listened to the most recent episode of VV podcast and the guest was Snot Shot, some big deal industrial trader and black shadows kind of guy who had to go so far as using a voice modulator to hide his identity. Funny thing is, it was soooo obvious who the man behind the voice is.

Last decent Eve podcast was the one the Noir. boys did. VV isn't even on the radar.

So, what's the answer to the man's question?

He didn't ask a question. Reading comprehension ftw.

The original subject title for the thread actually did have a question in it. Late to the part FTW.

  • And suddenly...three new community reps! in EVE Communication Center

So CCP Dolan is MBIII and CCP Falcon is Verone...but who is CCP Eterne?

Congrats to all three! It's so nice to see CCP gankin' some players from the community to join the CCP team. And I'm glad the Community team is beefing back up again. I was so sad to see that team gutted as part of the 20% during the Summer of Rage.

Oh, and when is Tony G. coming back?

  • Snot Shot = Alekseyev Karrde in EVE Communication Center

It was indeed an awesome episode and a great interview. Thanks to Dani and Snot Shot/Aleks, for taking the time to fulfill my daily Eve politics needs.

    Communism is the opposite?

Totally off topic, but....I never advocated any kind of political system. The world is not black and white (hypercapitalism/communism)...myself, I prefer anarchy. I was only saying when you have hypercapitalism, Eve (and our current state of the modern world) is what you get. That said, I love Eve for what it is!

Sorry, the entry needs to be a new work. It could be another story in your series, though.
By the way, if the new story is non-canon, there's a category for that.

Can't be bothered. I am working on my own science fiction series currently. Don't see why you can't accept a piece of work I did awhile ago.

It's pretty simple. If you win, why would they want to publish and already published piece in EON magazine? Look at it from their perspective...they don't want some other publication/websites sloppy seconds.

I would imagine it can't have been previously published in print or online in order to be eligible.

Big win to CCP and the EON guys. This is a great contest and I can't wait to see the submissions.

Will we get to see at least the runners up as well as the winners? Or perhaps all of the submissions? What can I say, I'm a sucker for great stories.

Can't wait to see who wins and read them via my recently re-upped EON sub.

I have been playing this terrible game for almost 6 months now. In that time, Mr. Snot Shot has sat cloaked in EC-P8R raging at goons in local. Then moved to VFK for some more raging at goons in local, now he resides in H-W in Tribute....

    doing:

You guessed it- sitting in a cloaky ship raging at goons in local. Literally, this is all he does for months and months.

Well, he represented himself as some shadowy figure (who has 2 T2 BPO's) who could not reveal his real identity for the interview (I smell CCP's hand in this one... /tinfoil).
