Last day of this account with freezing bugs on Tranquility and now this.
I wanted to smash some ships as a "Bon Voyage" thing

  • Jenshae mothballing. in EVE Communication Center

    TL;DR:

    - You can not have my stuff or my skill points.
    - Mothballing = taking a break and not quitting for ever.
    - Provi-Bloc is still great.
    - CCP development is becoming more "WoW in space," so I am stopping paying my RL$ to them.
    - Forum post so that friends who are not around right now can find out what happened to me.

    Blah blah

Tech 3 should be about utility and not power creep.
T3 cruisers are in many ways as powerful or better than battleships.
T3 destroyers are as tanky as cruisers, has about as much damage but the sort of signature and speed of frigates. Completely stepping outside of the game design and are not glass cannons.

Command Destroyers are a nasty little gimmick, which are also outside the design. No, they do not fit as miniature Command Battle Cruisers because they still break the frigate meta.

Fozzie SOV was obviously bad before it was implemented and I did write a great deal about it.
Personally, I feel there needs to be some Middle Sec space where only regular capitals can jump gates and no cynos work. Allow new alliances to grow and challenge Null Sec.
Dominion SOV was so boring! It at least had depth. Nerf the Super and Titan damage, lower capital damage and then you do not need all of those structure hit points.

I have heard that Citadels will need shooting but will always take 30 min to reinforce.

Edit: High Sec - empower players to fight back, fix War Decs and make a "White Knight" list where people can get help and rate them when the job is done. Stop holding their hands with more and more stifling mechanics. /Edit

If you really wanted to help new players then you could have accelerated the rate of skill gains until they hit 5 million skill points.
Skill Injectors are what pushed me from , "Voting for Xenuria," to mothballing.

At the end of the day, I don't think people should be able to buy their way forward in a game.

    Fly smart and have fun,

    o7

CCP Cascade - I am so happy you made this thread. After messing about, I finally got EVE run a .msi within a PlayOnLinux virtual machine and since the Launcher is so @#$% I had to find the missing repair tool .... AND it even updates from this!!!

You've never just given someone in your alliance that you like 500M to help them with something?
Well 500m no because I am perpetually poor but I doubt the alliance management will fiance my "powerleveling" into T3 cruisers or anything like that...
If you have proven loyal, would not a better pilot prove less costly to SRP and the rest of the fleet in the long term?

But when you upload your mind, thats not really you. You would be dead, you arent a computer lol.
    "LOL" You are.
As much as we would like to think that we are special little creations, we are just vessels for our genes. Our consciousness is an added complexity that has evolved and proven beneficial to the species. We are not even conscious all the time that we are awake.

By our genes we have predispositions, aptitudes that we may or may not realise.
Language is a great example, we are coded into speaking at least one, twins often make one up between them and some cases of deaf couples, where as one such case involved living on a farm and their child had made up its own language to fill that need.
The nurture aspect is what language we learn.
Humans generally run through a life pattern.
Typical males, go through their puberty, have insecurity about their sexuality, try to prove themselves to their peers and elders, get a car, house and such, attract a mate, provide for them, go through a mid life crisis and die.
On a shorter time scale, many adults get up, go to work, eat the same meals, go home, watch the same sort of TV shows, go out to the same sort of places with their friends on the weekend, maybe watch the same soccer team win or lose, perhaps go to church and repeat that week after week for years.

Sounds a hell of a lot like machines to me. Blink

Oh, we understand how brains work, not with absolute 100% certainty but we are far, far, from the ignorance that, "a piece of God is hidden in there giving us our sentience."

Being in a top down ISK alliance, I think you should understand that this won't be necessary.

My client was freezing quite a lot despite resetting the cache, etc, so I decided to do a fresh install in case there was some legacy patch bug I had.

However, the new install has hidden the exefile.exe despite downloading the entire ~8GB.

... and yeah, the launcher seems to be a large contributor to "socket closed" which only now do I get.

If eve.exe is the right file. what are the wine arguments to run it? Been using delicious PlayOnLinux up until now.

    Edit:
Scratch that, the Launcher must have been spying on me, now I click "Play" and it says "Launching ..." then after a bit it flips back to "Play" after doing nothing.
