Hence the reason if you believe they are doing something wrong then report them. Just don't automaticly assume because they are multiboxing that they are botting/cheating.

I know that there's a difference. It's just that the majority of these fleets are obviously bots when they all start actions at the exact same time. And I'm not meaning fleet warping, as in start lasers at the same time, moving through the ice belt at the same time, all ejecting their cans at precisely the same moment etc.

OP: If you're willing to move (possibly to a different region) you will be able to find ice fields that last longer. For example Everyshore Region has a great concentration of ice belts where it is easy to check nearby system for ice.

Every ice belt will have a pattern where you can anticipate the normal spawn time by day of the week - you don't have to hang around all the time.

I live in Everyshore, and it's full of bots that CCP doesn't give a damn about. To the point that there's at least 10 multiboxing fleets (probably more) that go out, every single day, and go through every single ice belt in the five systems in the upper-left corner of the Everyshore region... In maybe a few hours? No solo players get a chance.

Sucks when I don't have the reprocessing skills (or standings) to make lots of ISK from ore, whereas just selling plain blue ice makes a lot more.

And yes, I've tried reporting the bots, multiple times. Every time I see the bot fleets, I report each and every one of them. Even sent in a ticket to CCP, sent in a list of names and why they hadn't been banned because of their obvious ISBoxer/Macro botting. "Oh sorry, you should just report them as bots with the report as bot feature" *closes ticket*

So yeah.. CCP doesn't give a damn about botting.

Multiboxing isn't botting try not to confuse the two. Multiboxing if perfectly legal within the rules laid down by CCP (subject to change), Botting however is not.

So someone using a Macro program isn't botting? /raises-eyebrow Because according to a ticket I sent to CCP, what they're doing is botting.

That's not what I said, I said multiboxing is not botting try not to confuse the two.

Yes if you believe these people are botting then by all means keep reporting them. if however it turns out this person(s) are multiboxing with in the rules then they are perfectly entitled to continue what they are doing

  • Sick of multiboxing ice miners in EVE Communication Center

report them is all you can do. you can find more ice out in null then highsec.

Reporting gets me nowhere. Not even sure if CCP bothers to check the reports because nothing at all has been done.

And I'm 20+ jumps away from null itself, let alone null systems with ice. My only solution would be to scan down a wormhole, hope it's not only abandoned/empty but also has an ice site, and mine there. Which is incredibly risky, considering I can't just ninja-mine in a venture, for ice.

  • Sick of multiboxing ice miners in EVE Communication Center

Yes, this post is made when I'm a bit angry but oh well.

I'm just simply sick of multiboxing ice miners. What chance do I have (or any other solo player have) of getting more than a few holds of ice when in my region (Everyshore), there's so many multiboxing fleets that we can't even get a decent amount of ISK?

Every time I see them, it's easy to see they're bots using ISBoxer/Macros, because they fleet warp in and all start mining on the same bit of ice. And they all eject their cans at exactly the same time to be picked up by the freighter pilot.

I've reported them for botting, I do it every single time I see them. Makes no difference. I've tried also getting a list of names (to the point I have a spreadsheet with at least 5 regular fleets) and sending them in a ticket to CCP and all they do is tell me to report them as bots (which I would mention to them that I had already done, multiple times) and close the ticket.

Can CCP just -please- start bothering to actually get rid of obvious bots? All I'm trying to do is make enough ISK for a PLEX because of emergency bills irl that are stopping me from paying for my sub with actual money. But I can't when every single time I warp into an ice belt, there's a group of Skiffs huddled around a freighter (usually a Providence or Obelisk, sometimes a Charon) and an Orca, all focusing on one ice asteroid at a time, completely tearing through belts in not even an hour.

And I would like to note that I know the forum rules are against ranting... But this is more of a plea for CCP to actually do something for the solo players just trying to make ends meet for their sub.

You use a CovOps if you want to actually do the sites yourself.

You also use an Astero if you lack the skills for a CovOps. But given these skills are fairly trivial, it is in that case unlikely you can afford the 80mil price tag of the Astero Hull at which point you should be using a tech 1 scanning frigate.

Coming from a mining background, I can make more than what an Astero is worth in a day, so price isn't exactly a big thing for me. Heck, if I wanted to go for a Stratios I would, but I don't really see the point in it.

  • Exploration frigates in EVE Gameplay Center

    Hi all,

Currently using my Astero to explore, but I'm currently teching up to use a Manticore so I thought.. Would it be better for me to use a Buzzard (t2 Caldari frigate) or to just keep using my Astero?

Corp members aren't sure so I thought I'd ask here.

Was interested in being a stealthy kind of guy in-game ever since I started playing a little over a month ago, mentioned it to a friend and he linked me to your stealth-bomber videos.

Since then I've watched every single one of your stealth-bomber videos, trained up for exploration (and gotten my self an Astero fitted out), and now I'm training up to use a Manticore. Seriously Chance, you're an inspiration to me, you've definitely got my vote!
