  • [Video] Ferocious 7.0 Official Release in EVE Communication Center

Great watch! Recently, we had a discussion on mumble how pvp video productions seem to be a dyingor even dead art. Thanks for proving that, as in most cases when people use the words "eve" and "dying" in one sentence, the rumours are greatly exaggerated.

I always thought I preferred longer videos but was a bit surprised to find myself watching yours in two sessions. That was partially due to a phone call, but even so 40 minutes are pretty long. I think the sweet spot is somewhere between 20 and 30 minutes, especially if that means more frequent releases.

    Holy crap, that was awesome.

Each render does cause loss of quality though, so you are better off just having people send you the Vegas or Premiere files and then either render it yourself (no need to compress) or just import the speed envelope straight into whatever program you are using.

Can After Effects import those files? Never really experimented with it so I have no idea about how the compatibility is between the editing programs.

I'm no expert, but 2 minutes googling says you can freely transfer between Adobe products. Sony Vegas 12 apparently can export to Adobe too, but I only have 9. Chances are someone with 12 can take my 9 file and convert it to something you can use.

Vegas files are tiny, so transferring them between people should not be a problem.

  • Video request - 1. Solo 2. Small gang in EVE Communication Center

    Hello,

just keep in mind that there have been some very drastic changes over the last year, so even semi recent videos may be horribly out of date. The biggest issue for me, for example, is the battleship warp speed nerf that makes quite a few applications of theirs impractical or at least harder than they used to be.

That said, I think I am not too blinded my corp mate fandom when I say that Kovorix' videos are currently the best pure solo ones. The latest is Call of the Wild. From there, you can find the others.

Generally, they are unlinked solo with some linked and/or small gang fights thrown in.

  • [VIDEO REQUEST] - Old/Classic Blasterthron in EVE Communication Center

First that comes to mind is Disorder. Some of Gods Coldblood's videos were with Megathrons, I believe, before he used the Vindicator full time. kessah may have used a Megathron at some point too. Garmon has flown and shown pretty much everything - Garmonation 8, I believe, has a ridiculous fight with an officer fit navy mega.

  • [PvP Video] Samurai Revenge 8 in EVE Communication Center

Great video. Definitely enjoyed watching it and look forward to your next.

    Almost-failed bait tank was hilarious.

    Eve files link up

    Thanks man, greatly appreciated.

As for the movie - I liked it very much. Felt like good old times that I don't have the necessary frustration tolerance for anymore. Which is a shame.

I've heard good things of this, but it's blocked in my country, and downloading via proxy sucks - so slow.

Therefor, what about that eve-files link?

Thanks for the bump, was on vacation and would otherwise have missed this. Great watch!

  • [Odyssey 1.1] Warfare Links, Mindlinks, Gang bonuses in EVE Technology and Research Center

As has been said by others, the one minute timer is the worst eve dev idea I've seen so far. It precludes linked gangs from going to the edge of what their setup can do, because once they need them the most, their links will fail them. Force multipliers that only work while you are in a comfortable situation anyway are ******** (the main gripe I also have with ECM, btw)

If link ships sitting unassaultable on gates and stations are such a big deal (never really encountered them myself since 2010 or so), make active links give you a suspect timer. I'm certain some sort of lore reason can be found, and it would solve many of the highsec shenanigans as well as make it harder to do this in lowsec.

    Greetings Eve Community,

I have created a PVP Video. Featuring the following ships, Myrmidon, Prophecy, Tempest, Rokh, Mega N.I., Apoc N.I., Armageddon. Video is mostly playing 4x.

All these fights take place during various times of the Retribution Expansion. With BS attributes changed I wanted to push out this video to "clean my plate". I hope you all enjoy.

    I die a lot.

Well, I guess I'm at fault there. Logan asked for the most cheesy songs we could think of. The first I came up with I reserved for future use, because it actually is great, and this was the second...

  • [video] Pro-Active 3 - small gang pvp in EVE Communication Center

Well, that song is terrible. Can't pretend no one else said so before Pirate

  • [video] Pro-Active 3 - small gang pvp in EVE Communication Center

    Very nice finished version!

Also, I've taken the liberty to compress the file a bit further. Quality loss is noticeable but not as bad as on youtube.

  • [Video] DO OR DIE in EVE Communication Center

Thoroughly enjoyed that. That escalating fight vs Tornado x2 etc. is probably among my top 10 fights published in videos. Perfect example of how links may make things easier (or even possible at all), but in the end, there is still a limit to what setups (including links) can do on their own. If you want to go beyond that, you need skill and luck.

Also, to the haters: The nano gangs he fought had links too.

Two things stand out to me. First, i miss the old locked target icons. Second, I don't actually mind dubstep anymore Shocked Eve videos, what have you done to me Cry

  • [Video] V.Ex.o.R. - small scale pvp in EVE Communication Center

Hmm, only just resubbed last week, and as I never see you online, you'll get a post here Big smile

    Great video.

Visually, the presentation is in a league of its own, even though it maybe is not the most efficient or even effective way to go about it. I guess I'm not the only one for whom a fair bit of information was lost while trying to digest or take in other information.

But that doesn't really matter. Very nice pvp coupled with a great look make good entertainment. Any chance of you making an intro for me should I ever get to make another video?

  • [Video] The Journey [Small/Midscale, 40 minutes] in EVE Communication Center

Really nice video! And getting mentioned made my day <3 - you are certainly very welcome for my videos.

In any case, I was certainly entertained, even though you stole at least one song that was on the short list for me if I ever did another video (the Amélie one). Nice fleet compositions, well presented information, good music.

No idea why you have this few comments. Probably because of file size. Shouldn't matter, definitevly worth the download.

Also, in case you haven't already, look at EveGer - the video has been crossposted and received warmly :)

Upload to youtube if you can mate. It'd get a bunch more views!

I'm not that great a fan of youtube. On one hand it requires a google account, on the other my shameless use of copyrighted music would mean the movie would get blocked in my home country straight away anyway. Maybe I get lucky, and some nice guy uploads it to YT.

In the meantime, it has found its way to an obscure Asian streaming site. Maybe you'll figure out how to get decent quality streaming from there.
