It's hillarious how people still expect honesty and transparency from people who require popularity to keep their positions.

Hi, I'll be your Revelation fanboy for today. They aren't anywhere near as bad as a lot of people make them out to be. Having said that...

Use a Moros for this. It's ugly, it's horribly cap-inefficient, it has a questionable tank... but it kills things stupidly fast and for this, you want things dead ASAP. Sleeper Wrecks don't neut you, they don't shoot you and they don't scram you. Tank goes in the high slots.

Black Ops are not capitals, regardless of the price.

This is essentially a thread of blops users who want easier kills.

It isn't called Capital Fatigue, it's called Jump Fatigue, and BLOPs absolutely have a jump drive. If anything they shouldn't have the bonus that they do to both range *and* fatigue reduction.

  • Black OPS and the need for a re-design in EVE Gameplay Center

First a disclaimer. I have lost exactly 2 ships to hotdrops (both BLOPs) ever. I also have Black Ops V trained and have used it. Personally I dislike the entire mechanic behind hotdropping, and would be happy if it was completely removed from the game. The main way I've seen it used involves a bunch of characters sitting in a POS or docked up completely safely while your bait/scout goes roaming for targets. If the bait gets taken, you either bring overwhelming force instantly, or if the fight wont go well for you, you just don't show up. I know the idea behind BLOPs is to be a mobile force behind enemy lines, but in my experience, it just doesn't happen. They get used as taxis (prefatigue) or as gank ships. Roaming simply doesn't happen.

1'st Blops need a reduction in their jump fituage, why?

2'nd Blops need T2 resists. Why?

3'rd Blops need to be either re-bonused or split into separate classes.

CCP added jump fatigue specifically to stop you from flitting all over the map willy-nilly. For you to come here and complain that a change is working exactly as intended seems somewhat silly. While I'm sure it would be nice for your roams to be able to ignore jump fatigue while roaming null, the simple fact of the matter is that as soon as you make any kind of exceptions for jump fatigue we are right back to those ships being used to teleport all over the map (see: nullsec using t1 industrials to bypass fatigue) and the fatigue change is useless.

The T2 resistances are largely a moot point IMO. I have literally never seen BLOPs used in anything other than a completely one-sided stomp, in almost 6 years. It is not uncommon to see 10+ BLOPs battleships dropped onto a single cruiser. Why does being squishy matter if the fight is over before it bagan anyway? in a 10 vs 1 fight, you're going to kill the target so fast that your lack of T2 resistances just doesn't matter.

The class split was something that Fozzie (or was it Rise?) have talked about before. I think their idea at the time was a combat version and an EWAR version. I have no opinion on this one way or another.

Here's a counter proposal for you:

    1. Jump drives and jump portals removed from BLOPs and Cov Ops completely. Skill points reimbursed.
    2. Warp speed increased to 3 AU/s (cruiser speeds) for BLOPs BSs
    3. Cov Ops cloak.
    4. T2 resists and a base HP buff. Put it in line with the T1 BSs.

This way you can still go roaming, but you have to put your shiny gank ship at risk to do it, and you can't instantly appear out of nowhere on your target's face and nuke it down.

I've always hated the ability to teleport directly into combat. Hot drops have been a cancer since their inception and honestly need to go.

I'd love to see a 1 minute (or even 2-3 minutes) timer that disallows offensive module activation after using a cyno/bridge. There should be a delay between using a jump drive and full combat readiness.

  • Drone durability in EVE Gameplay Center

Its worth training to V for just about all ships. The question is, is there something that is a better use of the training time?

To put it into perspective, it is a Rank 5 skill, which means you could instead have:
    - Any level V Racial Cruiser.
    - Interdictors V.
    - Cruise Missiles V (torps is a rank 4 skill for some reason)
    - Any missile support skill to V.
    - Any large gunnery system to V.
    - Any gunnery support skill to V.
    - 2 and a half of your armour compensations to V
    - Cyno V
    - Leadership V as well as all the basic leadership skills to IV
    - Almost Advanced Weapons Upgrades V (Rank 6)
    - Drone Interfacing V
    - Sentry Drone Interfacing V
    - Heavy Drone Interfacing V

There's probably more, but you get the idea. Do any of those skills (or any combination of many smaller skills) sound like they'd be a better use of that time?

RLML's are already quite powerful. I ran the numbers on a bellicose fit with reload times included in dps and was suprised to learn that when fit with RLML's the ship had a higher dps than with heavies. From my understanding these were supposed to be about burst dps and damage application, not sustained dps. Their sustained dps is already too high in comparison to the other medium launchers.

(Heavies could use some love though)

Either my EFT is broken, or you aren't accounting for reload timers.

With an All Vs fit with just T2 launchers and using Cal Navy Scourge missiles, I get 105 DPS for the RLMLs and 132 for HMLs. When NOT accounting for reloads, I get 162 DPS for RLMLs and 138 for HMLs.
