  • Dev blog: Skill level complete - A new character sheet for EVE Online in EVE Information Center

I like how pretty it is. Looks nice, shows you what you need to know, and doesn't look like a spreadsheet. Seriously looks sharp.

    I am always pro-pretty!

  • Milwaukee WI Meetup March 26th! 4th year in a row! in EVE Gameplay Center

Oh man, I should try and make this one. I can't commit at this point, but I'll try.

  • Madison WI Monthly Imperium Bender - 3rd Thursdays at 8pm, Atomic Koi in EVE Gameplay Center

I've missed a few of these. Definitely need to get back at it. Saturdays should definitely be better.

Hull Tanking is officially the New Meta 2016!

    So excited. So good.

Looks like this is still on for this Thursday, right? I will try and make it.

Stayed too late, drank too much, yelled about spaceships.

A++ will be back next month.

  • Dev Blog: Fleet Warp Changes - Coming in August Release in EVE Information Center

I run a wh corp that takes in lower SP characters that most wh corps would even dare look at. This disproportionately hurts

    1. WH players
    2. New players
    3. Anyone who doesn't want to pay for multiple accounts

This change will make the new player experience and the experience of my corpmates objectively worse. If that was the intent, it will likely be successful.

  • Dev blog: Politics by Other Means: Sovereignty Phase Two in EVE Information Center

I read the post and read/skimmed over all 39 pages of this thread. I haven't seen anything to change my mind from my initial take on this.

Prime time needs adjusting for sure. Many corps and alliances are multi-time zone. I highly doubt many alliances, even small ones, exist in a single time zone.

Aside from that overall I'm excited about the changes. It's definitely a great start.

  • I’m Cagali², and I’m Running for CSM X. in Council of Stellar Management

Cagali is one of the most genuine people I've ever met. What he says in his post is the real deal.

Player retention is probably Eve's greatest failing and if anyone can sort it out (without ruining the parts of Eve that make it great) it's Cagali.

I love this. I think the sample pictures look amazing. Very excited to see this in action.

Don't wormholers make enough already? I thought they pulled in like a billion per person per hour.

Oh how I wish that were true.

  • Matias Otero's resignation in Council of Stellar Management

This is great news for everyone and excellent news for wormholers. Matias was taking up a valuable position and I'm glad that, however this went down, it was resolved.

Matias is a good guy with good intentions, but there's no point in having a position on the CSM taken up by someone who isn't going to make good use of it to better Eve.

  • [Hyperion Feedback Thread] Wormhole Effect Rebalance in EVE Gameplay Center

As someone who lived in a Black Hole for 6 months or so... definitely happy to see that finally changed. The rest of the changes seem reasonable as well. I don't see anything dramatic (which is good, usually). Nice improvements all around.

  • Targets for Pilgrim in EVE Gameplay Center

Firend of mine uses a pilgrim. Though, as the pilgrim is about as dangerous as a dragoon, his target choice is mostly limitd to industrials, frigates, abandonned POS mods and people that logged off with a timer. There is literally nothing the pilgrim can engage on its own in w-space.

Atleast I didn't ever see a pilgrim doing anything a vexor wouldn't d better, with the exception of killing a handful of c1-c2 farmers, since if it's running c3 sites, it can usually kill you regardless (Domis, Ravens).

So, if you are to engage actual targets, you will need backup. Everything that can't shoot back is fine. Else, one set of ogres kills you in a few seconds, same for TPs + cruises.

    Unfortunately this is mostly true...........

I always WANT to bring my pilgrim out but 90 percent of the times it turns into something the pilgrim is ill-suited to and I would be better off in a different ship.

This has been my experience as well. I trained to a Pilgrim. It sounded badass. I wanted to love it. I've managed to do nothing fun with it...

    I blame Cagali.

This is the only reasonable position to take. 100% Cagali's fault. We should probably kick him out already.

  • Honoring Ransoms and Fights in EVE Gameplay Center

My corp always honors ransoms and fights. My favorite was when a guy got trapped in our hole and we let him out after he paid the ransom of writing a dirty haiku for us. Then he asked if he could "hack our sites" and we even advised him jspace data/relic sites aren't exactly okay to do in a frigate.

On arranged fights, I'd rather have a ship-down arranged fight than no fight at all. I've had mixed success. Usually if they say they'll ship down, or ask us to, both sides hold their agreement and we get a nice fight out of it. Win or lose, it's fun and we always learn from it. There's been a few times where the other side has agreed to ship down, which really just meant building a massive T3 gang on the other side of a hole to come wreck us once the fight is on. Unfortunate, but hopefully we'll repay the favor one day.

Just last night we chased a group for a bit. They formed up to fight us but realized we were way to huge and had too much Logi, so they ran and POSed up. For us it was a matter of:
    A. Watch them POS up and go back home without a fight.
    B. Agree to leave half our crew out of the fight.
    C. Agree to leave half the squad, then bring them in anyway, ensuring that we'll never get a fun fight out of that corp ever again.

I don't know, seems like the choice is obvious to me.

  • So I guess they got rid of it all? in EVE Gameplay Center

Yeah, that was a bit of a surprise. Honestly, our tools were probably getting a bit too good anyway.

  • What is your favorite ship? in EVE Gameplay Center

I spent so much time in Guardians that I forgot that guns were a thing.

I do love a good lazzzor Legion, but I rarely get a chance to use it in anger.
