You've gone from no granularity to too much granularity. The problem with allowing every structure to have a different window is you make it a massive chore for attackers to strike. Now instead of "Alliance X is vulnerable from 12:00-16:00" you have "Alliance X, System ABC-D: TCU is vulnerable from 12:00-16:00, Station vulnerable from 16:00-20:00, IHUB is vulnerable from 20:00-0:00, System WXY-Z: TCU is vulnerable from 0:00-04:00, Station vulnerable from 04:00-08:00, IHUB is vulnerable from 08:00-12:00, System OMG-Y (on the other side of the constallation): TCU vulnerable from 12:00-16:00, Station vulnerable from 16:00-20:00, IHUB is vulnerable from 20:00-0:00, etc., etc., etc.!

    This.

The maximum customability should on a one timer per system or constellation basis. An attacker should be able to make a clean sweep of a system's structures in one set of timers, not have to show up at three completely different times for the iHub, TCU, and station.

And the fast click recognition is broken again. Or maybe the game is just really laggy now? Either way, pre-Mosaic Eve was better.

This has now been fixed, please restart both client and launcher.

There's still a noticeable half second lag between the click and the acknowledgement, but the problem of clicks simply being ignored does seem to have been fixed. Thank you, CCP.

  • MOSAIC - General Feedback in EVE Information Center

The map is so bad it warrants a second post.

You guys at CCP need to get everyone in a room and make the announcement that it doesn't matter how shiny or graphically improved a feature is, if the change decreases or breaks the functionality of the feature, then it is a bad change. Period. End of story. Quite a few of your developers seem thoroughly confused on that point. "BUT IT'S A POLISHED TURD!" Still a turd.

It's ridiculous that I have to sit there and wait for 3 seconds every time I want to do something that involves more than a single click to make sure your crappy software picked it up and is actually going to acknowledge my commands. Fix this now.

Hey guess what still hasn't been fixed yet? That's right, clicking more than one thing in a row and the game actually acknowledging your commands.

  • MOSAIC - General Feedback in EVE Information Center

Just got the beta map today and good god is it a piece of garbage. Click recognition on the scanning cube is non-existent which means you're forced to solely use the clunky arrows, thus doubling scan time. The color of the star interferes with the color of the green, yellow, and red signatures, but that doesn't matter half the time because it's flip a coin on whether or not the signatures even show up on the map behind all the cluttered junk. Trying to grab the edge of a scan sphere to increase or decrease the radius doesn't register most of the time, so you generally end up just spinning the map around in a circle instead.

After about 15 minutes of banging my head against the wall, I've switched back to the old map and plan to use it permanently. Whoever designed the new map has obviously never ever tried to actually scan anything down before. The new map is horrible and you should feel horrible.

  • MOSAIC - General Feedback in EVE Information Center

Whoever decided that forcing veterans to endure this horrible "opportunities" system and notifications with no way to turn it off should be canned immediately.

  • Improving the Fitting Experience in EVE Technology and Research Center

Please, please, please give us an "buy entire fit" option. Having to go through and individually buy 15 modules & rigs plus ammo every time I need to replace a ship is needlessly tedious. You already have mutli-sell coded, now we need multi-buy for ship fits.

  • Phoebe Feedback in EVE Information Center

I want to add my voice to the bring back the old buy window crowd. It was small, simple, and contained everything I needed. Sure, it could be a pain to sell 80 stacks of items, but that is dwarfed by the multitude of problems with the multisell window. The old window was better in almost every conceivable way, especially since sell all the things was a lie and it's really just sell 5 things. This is just another example of CCP's recent trend of making things bigger, shiner, and functionally worse.

Hate the increased brightness in space, I already had to turn my ship away from some objects to avoid a headache. Guess I'll see how playing with the map open all the time is.

The new compass is pointless, can't believe you wasted actual development time on that.

The new notification system is annoying beyond belief.

Hopefully the one bright spot to this mess, the jump nerfs, will at least pan out well.

  • Dev blog: All That Is Gold Does Not Glitter - Data Sites, Expeditions in EVE Information Center

I sincerely thank you guys for taking a look at exploration and data sites, the problem is that you're not addressing the underlying issues and not going far enough even when you do.

    1) Cutting the m3 in half still means these components are too bulky, try at least 0.1 or even 0.01, not 0.5. Most people run these sites in covert ops without cargo extenders, and my buzzard only has a cargo of 190 m3. Nullsec data sites generally have double or triple that m3 in components alone, so halving that value still isn't even close to being enough since the average explorer wants to be able to run more than just one site before having to offload. You can run dozens of relic sites in a covert ops before filling up the cargohold.

    2) The real issue with data site components is that they aren't worth anything because invention interfaces aren't consumed and supply vastly outweighs demand. I don't want worthless junk in my cargohold whether it's 1.0 or 0.5 or 0.1 m3. If you want to fix data sites, then make data components actually useful and thus valuable.

My standard MO for running a data site is as follows:
    -hack cans until cargo full
-jettison interface BPCs, data components, and carbon
    -repeat

The only thing these changes will accomplish is to increase the time between when I'll need to jettison the worthless junk into space.

Love the "Jump Clones can now be named for easier jump clone management" thing, much needed, thanks.

But am I reading this module tiericide thing correctly? Is the meta Restrained Capacitor Flux Coil module going to be better than the T2 version? That can't be right.

    EDIT: misread, nvm.

  • No more Faction BPC from data / relic site ? in EVE Gameplay Center

I run a lot of relic/data sites. I used to find a faction BPC for POS modules every now and then, but I haven't gotten one of those for a very, very long time.

Surely, this cost should come from the member who is installing the job. Even better if it was deducted from the member and given to the Corp Master Wallet as charge for using corp labs.

Currently its given to Secure Commerce Commission.

Is this intentional or is it a bug ?

    Regards.

    By Design

    To be clear.

POS Tax is set to 0.0%

By Design, there is a percentage 'Secure Commerce Commission' Fee added to every job started at a Player Owned Structure?

Where previously there was no Secure Commerce Commission Fee added to every job started at a Player Owned Structure?

Yes, the CCP Devs have made it quite clear in their blogs that if you use a POS then they hate you and want to make your life as difficult and expensive as possible.

  • Crius Feedback in EVE Information Center

Awful, horrible release. Leave the reprocessing and compression changes and roll everything else back. It's astonishingly clear that no CCP Devs actually do any industry themselves and Crius is just their idea of making some random changes for the sake of making random changes.

At the very least, give us the option of using the old industry UI. It was small, clean, and gave all the information I needed. Now it's gigantic, complex, and has a bunch of stuff I don't need and can't close.

This will not attract any new players to industry and if I did a lot of industry myself, I would be unsubbing over this release.

Wow. So an important game mechanic is painful to use, fundamentally broken, and badly in need of fixing, so CCP should make it worse to discourage its use? lol

By that logic, CCP should introduce a mechanic where every hour one of the POS modules, chosen at random, in an online POS self-destructs and destroys itself and everything inside it. That would certainly "discourage" POS use.

Oh, I'm sure you are. Open to discussing it and discussing it and discussing it and discussing it and discussing it ad nauseum, but actually fixing POSes is always in the next expansion.
