I'm all for you taking your time and being careful to avoid major issues.

However, we're now at the point where this is ******* ridiculous. It's been seven weeks since you posted the devblog originally. It's been more than three weeks since the last contact with CCP in this thread.
Shipping user-generated content in a game is a solved problem, technically and legally.

Hanlon's razor mandates I should assume incompetence in cases like these. If your legal team is too incompetent to redraft, or at least discuss (remember how you told us you'd get answers from them "as soon as possible" in february?), the license in nearly two months, they need to pull their heads out of their collective arses.

it's like you're new to ccp.

oh wait, sorry, you actually are. well here's how it works.

ccp announce some change that is widely considered bad. they then "engage" with the community a bit (i.e. they post a couple of feel-good posts how they're totally listening to you, please continue to make constructive posts, they're getting read! honest!), then ignore the thread until they push the change.

they might then later on issue some non-binding "clarification" that clarifies nothing.

More likely that we've gone back to the proven CCP tactic of completely stopping communications when some idea goes down like a cup of cold sick. That way they can then later pretend everything has been discussed with the playerbase when they roll it out anyway.

The problem is that there aren't a lot of constructive posts being made lately... I mean, there are right now four topics in a row that are either one-word titles, or punctuation.

The punctuation topics are because somebody posts garbage, gets piled on because they wrote garbage, then tries to rewrite history so nobody can see what garbage they wrote. Luckily there's eve-search so their garbage stays preserved for all eternity. (Except for the smiley thread, that one's okay.)

high security means if you get ganked then outside of wardecs your ganker will lose his ship. that's all. hope that helps

I'm not disputing that, but the topic of ISK sinks and sources is a pet peeve of mine. (And most people posting about it don't understand what the terms mean.)

There's a bit of a rumor going on at the moment that SOMER Blink has been the recipient of another half a trillion handout by CCP in August (secretly of course, making it public would be weird). Anyone care to comment? Can we have our Sabre BPOs yet?

So is this the only response we're getting on the matter? Refusal to address any of the important points, and saying in the future they'll do it again but hopefully it'll be very very slightly less biased, unregulated and disastrous?

You've been playing this game long enough to know the answer to that question.

I'd rather CCP didn't spawn items for any group of players (short of CCP-organized events, i.e. Alliance Tournament prizes are okay). I'm fine with them flying blinged-out ships through space for everyone to shoot; at least that one is transparent and everyone can participate. I'm not fine with them just handing out expensive (or not-so-expensive) stuff to arbitrarily selected people.

If CCP is looking to move forward with stuff like this, which a lot of the people I've talked to seem to be OK with, act like businesses and figure out how to benefit from it.

Well, a lot of the people I've talked to are certainly not OK with CCP devs arbitrarily spawning free ingame stuff to people they like, to do with as they like, and without any oversight. As such, I hope you understand if I refrain from making a case why Goonswarm should get free stuff for their community interaction.

Have we figured out yet what someone needs to do to get free **** from CCP? Surely Red Frog does enough work for the EVE community to be considered for the next 500 billion ISK gift? How about PL, Kingmakers of Nullsec? EVE Uni perhaps, or RvB?

Or do you have to sponsor player-run events to get free cash? In that case I'd like to enter Goonwaffe for sponsoring Hulkageddon V, and Erotica 1 for being the only honest ISK doubler in EVE and sponsoring the New Order.
E: oh and Gevlon Goblin for sponsoring TEST, thus creating some nice fights in Fountain.
