Another serious question: If you are a wormhole guy, why do you care about a highsec choke point? I thought you should be able to just drop out of your hole on either side. Also in case of BRs, cluttered gates are problematic because you can’t cloak so going through lowsec might actually be safer. ---

sometimes our wormhole exit is on the other side of uedama. we don’t get to choose our wormhole exit and rolling them is just a pain in the arse. ---

I should also mention I haul with this fit only on Sisi. ---

The shield purgers are there to help the Nereus last a long time against a small number of ships. And it is very effective at that. BUT, the _downside_ of it all is that he has less _actual_ EHP than if he’d fitted shield extenders. He’s relying almost entirely on shield recharge. That means that if a group of gankers can fire a lot of alpha shot in a short time, not even his shield recharge will help him. If his shield recharges completely in 30 seconds but gankers can outdo his 15K basic EHP in 20 seconds, then he’s stuffed. So no, the bait Nereus is NOT an ideal anti-ganker ship. A group of half a dozen Catalysts will make mincemeat of it. And as that bait Nereus is around 250m ISK…that’s a fool’s errand. This is why I love Eve. There are no perfect solutions to anything. Every upside has a downside. ---

I had been testing a few ships out in Tama with simular setup (credit goes to 2016) [The Sigil is always bait - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t127FLyBSv8) It requires at least 1 BS or at least a Trig ship to break the shield or at least a few frigates. You can see on Youtube there had been many vods popping up over the years though the one I watched was one linked o/ It is fun to do at least try it out yourself and Tama is a great place to bring such fun content. ---

Its sustainable against set amount of damage pouring, not against all of damage coming at the same time, because it would break the regen and it would drop to very small number after a certain portion of shield is gone. ---

I think he can find a ship and try tanking it and test against damage in abyss for example, or against gankers. After few attempts he will see whats going on, and why passive shield fails. ---
