Thanks for clarifying that the item did indeed spawn, and that you took it after the perceived slight of not being greeted in local, with the intention of using a contract to sell your gains. If he does not pay you **in time** , he can’t complete his once-per-character mission. And the worst part is that you know this, yet try to defend your behavior by pointing at the EULA in order to be _technically_ correct and the price of the damn things being acceptable. What you don’t seem to realize is that being correct doesn’t make you a decent person. You still decided to mess with someone _you know damn well_ leaned into obscure content. Your own argumentation belies your intent: you only did this to harass and to inject yourself into his gameplay as a negative agent in order to wave the “you don’t know \*\*\*\*” stick. I know the _type_. You are already judged and cannot undo your actions. His whining is in line with the EULA as well, so I recommend you accept that you will be publicly reviled. You come in here, and have the audacity to correct othes on their etiquette? **Lady, you do not deserve the etiquette that the mods guarantee even people that find some pleasure in ruining other people’s irrelevant PVE experience.** It is by the grace of things like the UELA that I’m not really expressing how I’d honestly categorize a player like you, validating \*\*\*\* behavior simply because it’s technically legal. The fact that you’re using a built-in legacy griefing method doesn’t change who you are, baby. I recommend the OP gives you and his mission the finger, and simply regard you as the bagholder of the legacy scam that is COSMOS missions. Best way to spin this story is to make it a carebear redemption arc. ---

Incorrect. The term emergent means “in the process of coming into being or becoming prominent.” Grabbing mission items and putting them on contract is mouldy old gameplay from 2012. There is nothing emergent about being copycat #78364 injecting themselves into other people’s gameplay, doing a shitty thing and them claiming it’s due to emergence, **because that behavior is already prominent.** It has been since I started playing EVE in 2012. It never went away because it’s an easy and cheap way of getting that much-desired griefer _attention_. I mean, if these people are not making proper ISK with their shenanigans then the reason for doing it becomes painfully clear. The ganked/robbed should just take their red pill and realize what they are dealing with; a bunch of bored roleplayers who find screwing with other players in HS for a pittance to be a worthwhile activity. The whole thing hinges upon the deliberate creation of a deliberate situation, the devs know this, the players know this, it’s just that everyone seems to be okay with it and do the standard “HTFU/RTFM” song-and-dance. Imagine 13 years of this being sold as “emergent”, lol. ---

That I know, that’s the same mentality in action. Never engage with the actual content. Always accuse and paint imaginary pictures of perceived weaknesses in others. And now BOTH PARTIES are mad that the things that are allowed are actually happening. Better yet, third parties are having strong opinions too. And guess what? **Been that wayforeve years due to stagnation.** So perhaps it’s about time that someone admits that EvE is sadistically designed and talks back to you people with strong opinions and **weak killboards.** ---
