If you have any sort of computing skills it is fairly straightforward to launch a denial of service attack. If it isn’t a hacking group looking to get billing info then it’s far more likely to be a lone stoner at a loose end. ---

don’t worry sheba, a ddos attack is not something used to steal information. information gets stolen through hidden remote access software, you can’t access anything if you are DDOS’ing your target as you are killing i’ts internet connection in doing so. ---

DDoS does not means data theft , but is not a good indication either ---

ddos like this is typically done out of anger towards an entity, perhaps someone felt like they were ripped off in 1 way or another ---

if they want to steal data , they will go for the web , most likely DDoS will shut down the WAP 🙂 ---

if its straightforward then the system you trying to DDoS is pretty crappy. It should not be straightforward, that’s the whole point of computer security ---
