The CPI is an overall measure of the “cost of living”. It is kind of like an average. So commad ships have gone up, but other things have gotten cheaper. So overall the cost of living hasn’t changed all that much.

CCP intentionally puts only EVE wide data into the MERs because it doesnt want to show that the real income for say highsec miners has dropped in real terms by about 40% in the last 4 years so CCP only shows aggregate data that hides that inflation in the jaw-dropping economic gains of nullsec rorqual pilots.

There are no measures of income by “profession” in the MERS that is true. But your income going down does not mean there is inflation though.

Rorquals cannot cause inflation as they tend not to inject ISK into the game. If anything the help keep inflation in check by injecting real resources.

Inflation is an aggregate concept though. It is what happens to prices as more money is created. And the statistical measures commonly used show little inflation. This not to say there are no problems with the economy.

If anything what you are talking about is _deflation_. A drop in the price of the goods you produce.

Well you could ask for a CPI for HS and NS. But my guess is you wouldn’t see appreciable inflation in those measures, but it is possible.
