Agreed, but also remember that it’s not good for miners because their yield value has gone down, PI players because the value of the products has gone down and the producers because their margin (if any) is being squeezed. Any of those player types is getting royally screwed and it’s certainly not “good” for them. So short term gain for those buying cheap products but long term loss because we will reach a point where there aren’t any miners, PI producers or manufacturers to actually make anything. Prices will skyrocket and Eve will only consist of the nullsec alliances who have wholly self sufficient production.

That’s the thing to it – it’s a self correcting system. When the market gets a chunk over oversupply, prices drop and…here’s the thing – the miners go mine other materials (well, the smarter ones anyway as lowsec ore prices soar compared to veldspar mining), and the manufacturers change their blueprints to other stuff that can be made at a profit. As the oversupply lowered the price, demand tends to increase. The combination of the shrinking of production and increase of demand will lower the quantity of the market, and then we run into a spot where the price evens out, but the demand is still higher than the production rate and create a bit of a bubble. Usually these bubbles are -10% to +20% of ship value, but for niche production items (T3 ships, for example) you can easily find -5% to +100% price fluctuations. And this is before a large NS group starts losing doctrine ships during a war and sucks a huge chunk of the supply of those ships out of Jita and creates a bubble for the war profiteers to fill!
Half of the industrialist market aspect is to position yourself to sell during the periods of higher demand and short supply while the industrialists re-start their production lines.

That’s assuming that the current situation is one which will self correct. Given that many people are/have complaining/ed (and leaving/left) due to the changes to production I wouldn’t be so sure it will self correct. I agree that markets will balance between supply and demand (given an environment where both can be satisfied), but when fundamental requirements (i.e. the players) aren’t there to fulfill the role required it’s rapidly downhill from there. I accept that people plug holes because there is ISK to be made but you won’t get a diehard PvPer deciding to mine to get ISK because they get no enjoyment from it.

People will invest their ISK when they see the possibility of both prices rising along with a market to buy at the increased prices. Nobody will invest their ISK in product when they don’t see a potential upturn, they will stay liquid.

'TLDR: I agree with you, a natural ebb and flow in the market is fine, but if the market is ebbing because of an external factor (i.e. CCP and their changes) there is no guarantee it will right itself without the external factor addressing things.

It still makes the clock broken. Just like I said HE is wrong. That’s how it works.

If the conclusions are good, but for the wrong reasons, then the person/opinion is wrong.
Otherwise I can say, “being right for the wrong reason is being wrong, so something exists” and since something exists I am right , therefore “being right for the wrong reason is being wrong” is right, so contradiction.

Please make a correct quote.

The first one was a correction of his claim, and the second one, I explained just after was irony on how easy it is to make blanket statements.

Jeez you’re slippery! What exactly are you trying to say because at the moment you are playing the say lots but mean nothing game? A few pointers below:

Is the production value decrease down to reduced prices, reduced product sales or both?
Given the thread title, what are the implications of the above?
Why did CCP change their strategy on industry if the initial strategy was correct?
Should CCP have engaged more with the player base before a “significant update” which was later modified to reduce the impact?

I’d like to hear what you have to say and I’m quite happy with opinion rather than fact as there is very little fact in this world at the moment.

Dude you can’t even make a correct quote.

> [@Big\_Roke](#):

> Is the production value decrease down to reduced prices, reduced product sales or both?

That’s the thing : we don’t know. Claiming otherwise is dishonest and therefore even if your conclusion matches reality, since your premise are wrong you are still wrong.

> [@Big\_Roke](#):

Quote me where I said it was correct ?
Quote me where I said they should not have changed it ?

No.
The opinion of people who can’t realize they don’t know something is worthless. They are self centered crybabies. They ain’t here to care for the game, they are here to care about THEIR game, to quote someone else.

It’s better to do something, and then know how good or bad it was and retract it if needed, rather than listen to the ever-complaining masses that can’t accept change. Because change will come anyhow, and you don’t know what has an effect unless you try it.

But you were saying he was wrong even though he could be right (in both premise and conclusion).

While I agree with this to a certain extent, there is a CSM for a reason.

CCP needs to stop listening to the Fortnite players who don’t understand Eve Online. CCP instead needs to open up new territory with a definitive background story, which Eve Online has been missing since the beginning.

Players can make their own stories in Eve Online, but there are always other stories that are taking place around them, just like in real life.

Will CCP be including isk compensation for industrialists like myself, in EVE since 2003, who have lost approx $3 Billion in now worthless structures that have been 'disabled by concord to make way for newer replacement technology."? I lost over 3bil when that happened. I come back to EVE this month 11/2022 to find a an EVE lifetime of accomplishment wiped out. Please help.
