I work with AI in my job and it’s a useful tool. At the same time I see on this forum how AI enables players to effortlessly generate much larger volumes of low effort text that at first sight looks like a valuable contribution even if it is often just as bad as some awful posts used to be. And even for non malign posts AI seems mostly used to push the burden of the writer onto the reader. Readers now have to read far more text to distill the same original message of the writer who ‘got accellerated’ by AI to write much more and faster. This pushes readers to either spend far more time than before on the same message, or to summarize using AI too, thereby filtering what used to be normal communication through a two-step AI filter to generate and summarize, which gets rid of nuance and causes misinterpretations when unintended details are generated or details are skipped in summaries. Clear comunication often is hard enough already without AI filter in the middle between two humans. Please write your own texts if you want people to read it. ---

It really depends what kind of job, white collar jobs absolutely are in danger of replacement but blue collar jobs I dunno not so much. Ai can show you what you need to do when your doing infrastructure it simply cannot build the infrastructure. … Yet. And let’s be real AI still needs work I remember browsing a forum where it totally messed up and didn’t name Aiko Danuja as one of the best of the best in eves notable and infamous figures. ---

those jobs are being outsourced with or without AI just so you know, question is, do you want outsourcing to be outsourced to slaved sweat shops in india, or do you want it to be outsourced to AI, where it rips out the slaved labor entirely ---

AI isn’t a tool. AI is a bypass. Let’s take music for example. A sequencer is a tool. Right now you have the most tools at your disposal to create your own music. You don’t need to mess around with figuring out a bar chord if you dont want to, but even just using a sequencer you still need to develop the language of chords and melody. In the process you learn how notes work with one another, you get a deeper understanding of rhythm, you develop a skill that allows you to orchestrate. You make happy accidents, make discoveries, and make something entirely unique. Or you go to Suno and don’t do any of that. Tell it to make a country song, it spits out the most derivative formulaic thing that it can because that is all that AI can do. You don’t learn anything about music, you don’t get to participate in the process of creation, your skill level is completely stagnate and all that you have made is a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. You cannot use AI to make new music because creativity is just not a part of the process, reproduction is all that it can manage. You aren’t getting your favorite album that way. The music you love took people experimenting. I don’t have to appreciate an image just because its an image. I will not celebrate somebody’s ability to type a prompt. You will not change how I feel about AI generated art. To me AI generated art is downright immoral. ---

As a musician I agree with you 100%… Due to actual situations they’ve experienced within their life, naturally talented musicians (original artists) create most of their songs to express their feelings from those situations… When people hear those songs, they can relate to those feelings, both mentally and spiritually, due to having similar life experiences… Thus the term ‘Heartfelt’.. And that term applies to all naturally talented artists, from authors to sculptors… Main thing is A.I. doesn’t have a soul and can’t create something that is genuinely sincere and heartfelt by humans… DMC o7 ---

That is the one thing I wouldn’t be able to do in GIMP without using a photo as a template is making human or humanoid characters. However replacement of all the model’s parts would mean the template could then be removed and was used to scale body parts. @Zaera_Keena I noticed in your last picture, the cyborg has a double jointed elbow, but that is ok since its a robot. I don’t know how much actual work you put into the prompts, but they are very detailed.
