> In what way?

Primarily isk production. In order to make equivalent isk to a supercarrier ratter in highsec, you’ll need to do incursions, of which spawns were nerfed from 3 to 1. In terms of mining, you do not have rorquals but orcas, so the boosts will only reach say 70% of a rorquals boost etc.

You are correct that the might of nullsec blocks cannot use their supercarrier fleets in highsec, which is a positive for highsec residents. Frankly if highsec receives increased buffs, a return to 3 spawns for incursions and the invasions that occur, a rehaul of missions, and several other things, I would be alright, with keeping capitals as the status quo.

This desire to add capitals comes from the large umbrellas that blocks have invented, which brings near concord safety to nullsec, while preserving the rich wealth making potential. This leaves highsec at a disadvantage.

> Say what???
>
> A disposable alt? that is a trained Super Pilot??? like really?

Negative, a disposable newbie alt. What you do is start the alt, do basic missions and ask questions in help chat etc, then join the specific group of your choice, pretend your a new player, you can say you played 7 years ago and lost your account etc. Nullsec recruiting is not open door for the most part, but its not impossible to bypass either.

Once your in you start buying whatever contracts have supercarriers that you want, then start asset safetying then down. You’ll then have your main or a pilot that can fly the ship jump it to a lowsec system next to highsec, and then gate it into highsec.

That is one of the ways to bypass a ‘monopoly’ on nullsec only capital sales. You wait a month, but the extra profit that you can get by doing this bypasses the asset safety fee and hassle.

Except that youre not.

Either Hisec and Nullsec are different, or they are the same. Either the mechanic is different, or they are the same.

If it is different, then different types of ships can exist. Because it is different.

If it is the same, then the same types of ships should exist in both nullsec and Hisec. Because they are the same.

So are they different? or are they/should they be the same?

Who Am I kidding, I already know what your answer is. Hisec and nullsec are different.

Therefore,

Different Space.

Different Mechanics.

Different access to ships.

Thanks for playing.

> If you are so against capitals of all sizes in highsec, then you must be for their complete elimination in the game. That is the only way to balance the scales. However elimination of all capitals will impact more players negatively than introducing the ships to highsec.

Actually, Im not against eliminating supers, or roquals, from the game.

But tell me, are you saying that some people have access to supercapitals in hisec and are actively using them to their advantage?

Because if so, then you are correct. That is not balanced.

However, if there are no supercapitals being used in hisec, then no. It is balanced.

Because no one in hisec is using them.

That is what balance, is.

Are you stupid??

Even i know that you get a personal contract for Supers and Titans…
They are not on open ended contracts!!

It is akin to building, having and selling Ballistic Nuclear Weapons.
For practically most if not every single Super out there, someone somewhere knows who owns them.

> Yeah, this seems counter to what happens most of the time. Most new nullsec groups start from players with existing nullsec experience.

Of course, many cases even without blue status you cannot enter now, because of the power imbalance, but I’m not sure where I mentioned this in this thread.

> I’ve seen lots of new corps advertise that they’ll start in highsec and then move to nullsec when ready, but it just doesn’t seem to be a successful strategy.

Agreed, sadly most of the time such endeavors fail.

> Even if highsec had capitals, highsec players still wouldn’t be on a level field, because they just won’t have the experience necessary to survive against existing nullsec capital fleets. They aren’t simple ships to use effectively.

This is assuming the players are flagged. If you have asset safety green, and are in an NPC or war ineligible corp, even if nullsec has capitals in highsec they cannot kill you if you do not flag yourself. If you are always suspect while in a capital in highsec then I would be 100% against that for the reason you mentioned.

Sure. And when Concord is gaurunteed to appear, 20 seconds after any illegal aggression against another capsuleer in nullsec, I will be right there with you, and actively state that supers should be allowed in hisec.

Because that would make Hisec and Nullsec, the same.

That makes sense.

When I was in goons they had them on alliance wide contracts, naturally they are not public, only goons can buy them. Not sure how the rest of nullsec does it, but there are plenty of people that do what I mentioned.

And again this is assuming EVERY single nullsec group decides to not sell to highsec. Why wouldn’t a small coalition that needs revenue not want to sell some capitals to highsec, or a renter who wants to make a lot of money? It takes one system with a sotiyo to build capitals.

Not concord but you can have a cyno lit and in many cases even quicker than 20 seconds, a large fleet of capital ships with fax to help the person under attack, or a sub-capital fleet bridged. Nullsec is inventing the benefits of highsec, while highsec does not have the same toys as nullsec.

If you do not own structures you can avoid this, in addition you can have mercenary corps that you can hire, or start your own corporations to defend your structures.

Yes. There is an imbalance between hisec and nullsec, in terms of ships and strength.

I completely agree there.

Thankfully, Nullsec Supers are not invading Hisec anytime soon. You are not in danger of being dropped on by a dozen Supers while mining in Hisec.

No one is expecting Nullsec Supers to be invading Hisec.

So this Imbalance, has no real meaning. Supers existing in nullsec, is no more relevant to a hisec player, than a trillion isk in a veterans wallet is to a new player with only a hundred thousand ISK.

Other than incursions, you cannot reliably make what a supercarrier pilot or rorqual pilot with alts can make in highsec. I agree with you, supercarriers not being used in pvp is a boon for us highsec residents, and my proposal will counter than boon.

However people who live in null have lots of wealth, how is a new player who wishes to play in highsec supposed to catch up in your eyes? Incursions were reduced from 3 spawns in highsec to 1, and lv4 missions cannot compete with supercarrier ratting, much like an orca cannot mine nor boost as well as a rorqual.

To be fair I can agree with this statement, but I’m not sure if allowing supercarriers to be constructed in highsec would help with balance, but by all means let them be constructed anywhere so long as its in a sotiyo, I’ll be in favor of that.
