# Allow mining frigates to mine Mercoxit w/deep core laser

Why not allow mining frigates to mine Mercoxit?

Usually venturing in null-sec is pretty dangerous to mine Mercoxit–why should we have to risk a mining barge hull? Why not allow T2 frigates or even the Venture and T2 mining frigates to mine Mercoxit?

Heck T2 frigate hulls are about as expensive as mining barges and have a smaller ore hold so why not allow them to also mine the stuff?

Especially now that Mercoxit is rarer after the resource distribution update allowing the frigates to mine it would add more competition for it by expanding ninja-miners in null space.
