I make my isk in high-sec, not null-sec, because it is safer and provides more isk.

But I would much rather make my isk in nullsec, where I want to reside and engage with other players. It just doesn’t make sense to the game’s current state.

So what keeps you from doing abyssals in null, if that is actually what you’re doing (and not, say, run a locust mining fleet).

I hope you don’t suffer too much if I tell a short story, then.

There’s a capsuleer I know, who had the option to live in either high sec, low sec, or sov nullsec. This particular dude has a highly skilled toon and enough capital to start up whatever venture he wanted. The guy looked at T5&6 abyssal running, exploration, mining, gas-huffing (including daytripping to WH space), ratting, DED-running, you name it. I asked him why he wound up where he wound up: low sec.

“it is far from the most isk/hr. but i can also quickly hop into a hunting ship when i see prey go by and have days where i do a little bit of everything. some days i make billions and some days i wind up with killmails.”

Those are his “isk-making” days, and as a plus, he’s now a local in space in his local low sec area. What’s different about him? Mindset.

To be fair, _BOTH_ of these go directly against the stated goal. Not just yours, and not just his.

Goal: More risk = more ISK
His side: Less risk = more ISK
Your side: More risk = less ISK

Both are exactly the opposite of the stated goal, in opposite ways.

You clearly can not comprehend anything other than your way of doing things. You repeatedly accuse genuine player characters as fraudulent. It is offensive. You do your cause no favour.

I applaud those that have tried to build bridges, but there does not appear to be any solid shore to reach here.

I actually explained that my side isn’t about less risk overall in terms of nullsec. However, I am taking advantage of the lower risk and high reward of high-sec abyssals.

Absolutely agree. My focus has always been around sov within Eve. I’ve almost exclusively made my isk in nullsec, even though wormholes were a far better source of income historically. The problem now, however, is that the pendulum has swung so much in nullsec that it is just too harsh a penalty for me to generate isk in nullsec when almost every other area has it better, and high-sec is safer. I am all about alliances, wars and politics between players and its got to the point where I am heavily disadvantaged if I make isk in those areas now.

He’s actively avoiding it because the “choose” post forced him to reveal his intentions, which he is unwilling to do thus he turned to ad hominems to deflect.

**My** bet is that he’s not doing abyssals at all, because then he could do those in null just as easily and even safer. I’m guessing he’s either grinding missions or mining but he wants the isk/h of T6 abyssals but without the effort and risk they require.

Everything else is just smoke and mirrors.

To be fair Null sec technically has the best isk generation, they have plenty wormholes spawning there and they have capitals on standby.

Risking a dread going a c5 wh from null farming for 2 hours (1b /h) or so is probably more efficient than anything any other space, other than wh’s themselves and this is including loosing a dread every now and then.

If you where to try the same thing from low sec, the wh’s that spawn in low have lower mass so it might close easier also in low there are cap hunting groups where as in null your whole area is pretty safe.

This takes effort, planning and risk. That’s a no-go sir.

That would be wormholes being the best isk generation though, rather than null? No?

</div>

Not really its about storing the capital. Storing it inside a wh is riskier storing it in null is much much safer.

</div>

But you are still generating the isk in a wormhole. Its a pretty important distinction because this example could be used to say that all areas of space are fine because there are wormholes connecting them.

</div>

But you run into mass issues then, also high sec cannot store caps. Wh’s that spawn in null have higher avg mass and allow more dreads safe trip’s through.

Null sec is the sweet spot for this but I would guess very little people actually abuse this.

But the isk generation is done in the wormhole. It’s like me saying null is fine because I can take a gila through a wormhole into high-sec to run abyssals. Am I making sense? I may just not be explaining it very well.

Ahh yea fair, Null is not fine sure but I mean it solves your issue instead of the general mass of null issue as you seem like the type that can pull it off.

Great, glad we recognize the power that mindset can have.

The last thing I want to say before dropping our discussion is that I don’t quite agree with your assessment as quoted above. There are players in this game that do things like:

- “I wish I could roleplay an Amarrian that only flies Amarrian ships” =\> their mentality takes the initiative, they roll an Amarrian character, and only fly Amarrian ships
- “I wish I could learn to PvP instead of mining all day but I’m scared” =\> their mentality takes the initiative, they roll a FW alt character, and I get to kill their alt 🙂
- “I wish I could go live in low sec and figure out how to survive” =\> seen a few crazy newbies do this at various points in time
- “I wish I could go live amongst the Thukker Caravans” =\> I did this with a small POS being “my caravan” out in GW in 2020

Note that _none of the above_ is complaining to CCP and waiting and wanting CCP to change the game _for them_.

_That’s_ the power of mentality _when applied_. I think you and I agreed on the power, I would be happy to see you apply your wish upon the universe. Who knows, maybe you can spread the newfound morale to your nullsec mates as well.

Anyway, was a fun discussion.

Plenty of game styles don’t require any intervention by CCP. Unfortunately, null-sec alliances are not one of those game styles at the moment, given the past few years. I understand your point and desire, but I am simply working with the reality of the situation. Running alliances is hard. Making decisions to go into a fight and sacrificing other peoples ships, that they have worked for is difficult. CCP have only made that more difficult over the last few years. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting it to be improved. So just to elaborate. My mindset is on nullsec and alliance gameplay. Its on ensuring that we have more world-record-beating fights that occur between player empires, that Eve is up in lights in the gaming media again and again. That we continue to create some of the most intriguing and interesting stories to have ever been created in gaming history. That is my mindset. That is why I do what I do. That is why I have this discussion here.

I have no desire or inclination to participate in any other aspects of the game. My mindset is absolutely fine where it is. 👍
