You can create a prospector pack, hell, throw in an extra 20 PLEX so they can sell that and buy the retriever in-game. The issue is that they are selling ships/Items that players can build. Not that they are trying to make money. Ships that players in a game that’s all about player driven industry are built by players. Where does this end? Cruisers? Battleships? T2 ships? Caps? Titans? how is the game when anyone can just buy a Titan with IRL cash? in-game producers are useless, mining is useless, this Prospector back is useless when you can just buy any ship you want with IRL cash. It’s that the retrievers are being generated into the game without taking resources out. ---

How will ccp source the retrievers? Just magic them into existence? or buy them from in game supplier/builders? ---

CCP needs to start listening to its players, and actually play their own game to have an idea as to how badly they are messing things up. Lets say I, as a player, want to offer new players a fitted retriever like this pack offers. I have to log in, mine the resources, buy the BPO or a BPC, put it all together, get the fit all together, fit the ship, then make a contract and offer it for the new player to be bought with ingame money which the player earned through various means. That’s me, a player, spending time, effort, and ingame resources into providing something. Now, CCP just generates what I wanted to do, and asks REAL MONEY for it. What takes me quite some time and investment to produce, takes CCP a few clicks. What earns me a few fictional bucks, earns CCP REAL MONEY. If CCP proposes this is a good idea and does not undo this (explicit language), where will it end? CCP: will you DESTROY industry? CCP; will you DESTROY the market? CCP: will you DESTROY your player base? CCP: will you DESTROY YOUR OWN GAME? CCP, you need to undo a bunch of bad decisions and changes. As it stands, you discourage new players from playing this game. You discourage small groups from achieving anything. Everything is directed at big blobs of caps and supercaps, because that gets a nice headline somewhere. How about making the game nice to play for everyone? How about allowing new players and small corporations from actually being able to achieve something, without having to join a big blob nullsec alliance where you’re just another drone in the hive. But hey, who are we kidding here? CCP never listens to its players anyway. ---

A few months ago, I unsubbed three of my four Omega accounts. I was considering resubbing those accounts until I saw this tone deaf marketing ploy. Today I unsubbed the fourth. Like I said in my cancellation note, this feels like an abusive relationship, and I’m not giving my money to this company. ---
