To the new Intergalactic Summit, greetings. This post will serve as a re-host and analysis of the cryptic messages of the late(?) A’J Project Lead **Dr. Hilen Tukoss** in late YC116 and in February YC117. * * * ![tuk](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/2X/0/0a60183b8ddbad2d2c85fe98b0ecdc356bbbaa88.png) * * * In the latter months of YC116, a number of mysterious communications to the now-archived Intergalactic Summit were made by (or under the name of) Doctor Hilen Tukoss. These were preceded by a notable [increase in Sleeper activity](https://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/sisters-of-eve-release-sleeper-research-findings/), and were followed shortly afterwards by the discovery of recently and _violently_ scavenged [Sleeper Caches](https://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/new-exploration-sites-new-modules/) across the cluster (save for the last message, which was received in February of YC117). The titanic [eruption of the W477-P star](https://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/stellar-anomaly-detected-by-capsuleers/), the Sisters’ announcement of their presence in [Thera](https://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/sisters-of-eve-wormhole-colony-lost-sanctuary-scientist-goes-public/), and the subsequent appearance of mysterious [unidentified structures](https://evetravel.wordpress.com/2014/12/14/unidentified-structure/) and enigmatic [Seeker Drones](https://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/circadian-seekers-ded-advisory/) across New Eden came shortly afterwards - and in early YC117, the Drifters revealed themselves for the first time. Without going too far into theory and what things may mean, the messages themselves are posted below. The first two are vastly different from the latter pair, and ask capsuleers to bring specific samples of the Jove Ambassador [Misu Baniya](http://wiki.eve-inspiracy.com/index.php?title=Misu_Baniya) to an unexplained “Resource Drop” at Site One in Eram. This timeline may in fact suggest that, while Tukoss was killed and his clone never activated, his **infomorph** at least may possibly have been captured and trapped by the Drifters, who then hijacked the Doctor’s Neocom in order to convince well-intentioned capsuleers to unknowingly bring Jove biomass samples to them for some as-of-yet unexplained reason. What’s more, some attempts to reconstruct his fractured final message suggest that he may have managed to escape his captors by securing a “Sleeper Vessel” of some sorts. My thanks for putting this together. Did we ever determine anything of significance about the systems mentioned in the second message (besides Thera, of course)? It’s been a while since I’ve really put my notes together on the Tukoss Incident. ---

I was disappointingly proven right, and it turned out to be some kind of AI that wanted Jovian body parts. Consider this scenario: An AI, being held prisoner in the Sleeper virtual realms because of crimes, was inadvertently set free by capsuleer exploration and harvesting of Sleeper elements, and sought to escape the prison permanently. But to leave the confines of the Sleeper realms, it required a space-faring vessel, which, as a _safety measure_ by the Sleepers, required a human body to control. So, it arranged to have body parts delivered, and using them, constructed human bodies, to pilot the ships, which are what we know as Drifters now. So, what we are dealing with, is an AI criminal mastermind, that escaped from the Sleeper prison through capsuleer intervention, and tricked well-meaning capsuleers into assisting it in fleeing beyond the reach of the Sleeper authorities, permanently. Nice job, team. ---

They are (or were at the time) [systems colonized by various capsuleer corporations/alliances](https://forums-archive.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=5176833#post5176833). One of those systems was the HQ system of my corporation’s old alliance, Low-Class. ---

I remember the most interesting part of that being that one of the system IDs had yet to be known to capsuleers, later revealed to be Thera - even though it’s obvious that the Drifters were behind those messages, it’s interesting to see them unintentionally “leak” that to us all.
