I select candidates based on agendas I think aligns best with my personal way of playing Eve Online: A focus on solo, and small gang PvP, sometimes with NPSI groups, and for a while now also tournaments. Arsia is on my list because if someone can help get Faction Warfare right, it’s her. As much as I like the idea of having an actually good ‘captain’s quarters’ system in the far future, I personally don’t think it’s really a reasonable or even practical thing to spend development time on at the moment. There’s a lot of problems and long needed updates in the main spaceship game, that I don’t really think that adding a new, unrelated social system will address. The ‘social system’ that needs an update in my opinion is the in-game tool to find a corporation. Finding a good Corp that fits you lr needs is vital for a lot of people to really enjoy the game to the fullest, and right now it’s very hard to do this _in the game client._ So even on the social front, there are core issues that need to be addressed before we can even begin to talk about a new WiS system, in my opinion. ---

Corps include people, that’s the problem with them. We have an in-game corp search, with various filters, but then you need to type at people for a while, to figure out if you will be on the same wavelength. Rarely will you see a corp ad that includes: “This is a scam corp. Our Industry director can provide any ships you need at 250% markup. We will never ask you for donations, but we raise corp tax to 30% on Saturdays, and you have to bug the CEO to put it back to 10% on Monday. He works at the sausage factory on Monday, and is usually too tired after work to log in, so its often not until Thursday that he catches up with mails.” But when you finally find the right corp for you, the game does totally take off in new directions 🙂 ---

Congratulations @Arsia_Elkin on CSM17. You art a wonderful person and a great pilot and I have spent many hours flying with you over the past few years. I had a corp member ask if I was going to post here about your running for CSM, I declined and said “Only when she wins” I voted for you because you are an open minded pilot who understands and has flown all aspects of the game and knew that the community who voted for you saw the skills and experience you have. You have a unique point of view over the other CSM members because you have and will continue to participate in all aspects of EVEs gameplay be it solo or fleet. (Almost dropped my phone in the water writing this) I thoroughly enjoy EVEs lore and being part of the roleplay community, but with that gameplay has always come first and RP and the lore second to my group. You provide a platform that provides to both people interested in the games lore while also keeping gameplay equally important which both this year and last year left you miles ahead of the other CSM members focused on lore, They had a good set of notes for lore but they had little experience in other fields notably small/solo pvp, fleet pvp/null/fw ect. I look forward to bugging Lady EDENCOM and @CCP_Rise about our EDENCOM shield logi (NO it won’t have bouncing shield reps thats stupid) Thank you Arsia for a great CSM 16.5 term and looking forward to a wonderful CSM 17 Term and the upcoming faction warfare changes along side our new story arcs. Game changes that make us want to undock are a good thing. ~Edios. ---
