# Asset safety of T2 ships?

Does anyone know if the asset safety cost of 15% is based on market value, or the prices of minerals to build the ship? I cant remember how much it cost me to asset safety my panther.

The estimated value that’s listed in the game for all items is based on an average from all Market sale prices, not on the minerals required to build it.

Next time, try posting something besides sarcastic troll remarks.

And the insurance price is based on an adjusted value of the minerals used for the T2 layer.

And so is the EIV.

So there is not a common trend that we can use.
