Economic closure small to medium businesses for over a year, most of the high-street has to-let signs hanging off the doors. Town centers with swathes of empty shops closed, Idicates to me we are in serious trouble. Big business making major gains gap between rich and poor at its widest in human history. Inflation is going to hit price of food will rise, is rising just a matter of time. Recession nah it’s going to be bigger than the 08 crash imo. ---

All those indicators seem pretty subjective. We are at the highest earnings growth since before 2008 and lowest employment since covid ---

No they won’t go back to work, people are not going to be happy when $500 per week checks stop flowing and they have to go back to minimum wage to survive. That’s not true. There’s optimizations that have to occur before added wages causes inflation. The US labor market is grossly underutilized so a lot of room for optimization. Even more than $15/he really. ---

I like your optimism and faith in the US labour market I really do, without getting into politics it’s a tad hard to talk about it. Everything is intertwined, a shock is incoming and it’s going to be biblical, not just for the USA but for the whole Western hemisphere. ---

I’ve heard like 4 or 5 doomsayers and it’s never come in 30+ years. Or the decades before that. Geopolitics is a problem but not disastrous on the horizon ---
