They are usually left there intentionally to catch and pop PvE’ers shiny incursion ships. Though, to play devil’s advocate, they should have a timer and disappear after a certain time, though I’m sure many would disagree. Use an alt to scout gates, etc. from a perch to avoid flying right into one. A little diligence goes a long way. ---

What we did was really something that only a ganker would do. We drag bubbled someone then we chat convo with them while they were in panic mode and had invited the pilot into Why Was I Ganked? Then we proceeded to tear up about how they lost their ship all the while being undercover to avoid our channel block. I think what we did was wrong even in nulsec and that all bubbles left on gate should start to decay as soon as the pilot cloaks and the time to unanchor then starts unless they deckiak or return to system. ---
