I honestly am not sure, so I put the question to my fellow capsuleers, probably the finest bunch of forum dwellers that has ever existed. What do you think? Do you believe people are more easily offended than ever? And what was your line that was crossed (if any)? And what do you suspect is the cause? Interested to hear peoples opinions on this. People today are indeed easily offended milksops. I personally do not care, as I have no line I won’t cross. ---

Of course you can’t deal with jokes through generations. Old jokes that were once acceptable can get you fined today or even jailtime. In many countries. ---

People are less tolerant of divisive jokes, but more tolerant of other jokes broadly imo. More people over time see divisive jokes as racists/bigots trying to hide behind humor. But don’t go flying off the handle over “6-7 jokes” that older folks tend to. ---

I somewhat agree, but would add some nuance that it also depends on the intention of the giver. If someone intentionally makes a racist joke to offend another person the problem is not at the receiving end, in my opinion.
