# Change graphics settings outside of game client?

Yes there is a way, but something of a chore. CCP should start the game by default in low GPU mode but they don’t. They don’t have game settings on the launcher either. Also you should back up your settings folder too. The folder is located in;

C:\users\YOUR-USER-ID\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c\_eve\_tq\_tranquility\settings\_Default

There is a file named core\_public\_\_.yaml you can edit with any text editor. Change values you are familiar with altering. For example; window resolution.

```auto
  FixedWindowSettings:
  - 133872432462495976
  - {adapter: 0, height: 1080, presentInterval: 1, width: 1920}

```

Try this too.

```auto
WindowMode: [133872432462495976, 2]
  WindowedResolution: [133872431677615571, null]
  WindowedSettings:
  - 133872432100390783
  - {adapter: 0, height: 768, left: 0, presentInterval: 1, showState: 0, top: 0, width: 1024}

```

By the way, don’t worry about messing this file up. If you delete it, it will just get regenerated by the launcher.
