I dont think corporations with structures will be ever exempt from wardecs. And if, CCP will make tools to remove them by other means, like when they can be destroyed by everyone legally after running out of fuel or when corp doesnt pay upkeep cost. ---

Therefore you can’t totally remove PVP from highsec as the guy i quoted suggested. Wardec system is being abused by some corps. It’s legitimate to ask CCP some modifications to limit it’s worst aspects. ---

what about forbidding corps from owning struct and from being wardecced (at the same time) unless they opt in for a “less watching” concord protection ? Lore wise, concord would not want structures to be placed in HS. ---

This will most likely be the solution. A corp “light” for people who basically just want a chat room, a named private NPC corp. Because corps holding Citadels and POCOs will still need to be attackable. And obviously we will meet all again in the threads that follow because they still cry about it. ---

Indeed, corp lite is something that’s been on the table for years and wouldn’t be a bad thing. Although, as you’ve pointed out people who form proper corps to get access to structures will still produce a fine salty whine. ---

I don’t see how an opinion piece from a game site equals CCP is going to change x. The wardec mechanic is an interesting one that plays off the whole fear of losing something when that’s what the game revolves around. That said, newer players shouldn’t be encouraged to jump right into corporations when they don’t know what they’re doing - they can be mentored while still being in the NPC corps. ---

I was more thinking of a choice by director to downgrade the protection level (in order to be allowed to anchor structure) - while it would be impossible to upgrade again when owning a structure, or being at war. At the same time, allow any corp to anchor a temporary structure (the “S” structures we were talked about) for a limited amount of time, with the structure - can be attacked by ANYBODY any moment, granting them suspect timer in HS - can be reinforced like a mobile depot (2 layers, 24H delay) - with damage cap and minimal damage to bypass the repair - has a limited amount of time before being automatically unanchored - cost money to be anchored in HS - cannot be unanchored by player unless 1 day from the expiration - unanchoring requires one hour delay, during which the structure is on hull layer - no high/mid/low/rig slot, only module slots - anchoring requires only 1H activation - one generic type, no bonus to modules. This would allow nomadic corporations to be a thing. ---
