This.

Very short delivery contracts will often be used to trick new/casual players that mix up “contract availability time” and “delivery time” on first glance or deliberately bait them into being ganked. An optional rush option would be nice, so the hauler gets paid more if he delivers within a few hours, but the contract isn’t automatically failed if it isn’t rushed. I am pretty sure if the rush-bonus is set high enough, many contracts will be delivered pretty quickly.
