Why must you teach them the old ways LOL. I was never gonna drop that particular tidbit because it is very effective..

I guarantee you everyone you know doesn’t since gankers supposedly have magical powers and can simply teleport at will to murder peeps.

Of course thats his goal. All this dude does is krab. He doesn’t even mine. He AG clout chases while others are actually out doing the work.

It always is. If you aren’t, you deserve that death.

Why? You can choose to nope out or not. Either way, you gotta live with the consequences. I get you’re just lazy and want easy mode but you hardly undock so

Oh? List them 😃 List these people you know ROFL.

No its not. He’s got you dead to rights and that’s why you’re trynna gas light your way out 😃

This. Most people don’t understand that EVE is risky.

LOL. Same thing for the miners 😃 Field some combat ships to protect the fleet. By your own argument, the solution is already there so they don’t need more EHP 😃

He doesn’t really have an answer. It is perfectly reasonable that miners have local at all. I mean just local alone is a huge intel advantage. Bear in mind, I’m a fan of blackout for all systems 😃

What’s it matter who your main is , you obviously don’t read many of the forum post , over the past year ganking has changed , anti-ganking has changed , high sec has changed . AG groups can take out ganker stations , ganker use new tactics, code split up, and many splinter groups formed and we stopped many freighter ganks in uedama . Which forced many to move away .
These forums help , guiding people either to AG or to the ganker , we both need new blood . The post have a purpose.

So my stories will continue, so if you don’t like them it’s probably best you don’t read them and go back to ice mining or what ever you do.

Like it or not there are only so many systems with no real movement, this is a deflection on the point that having to warp out for a single Catalyst in respect to for four out of the six mining barge/exhumers makes using the argument of watching local rather stupid.

No misinformation on my part, it is an opinion.

I used to operate in Khafis, it was a pipe but not a well used one, I used an Orca and a Skiff and in quiet periods a Hulk, but as the Hulk was so weakly tanked I had to be ready to switch to the Skiff in the ship bay of the Orca. I found it impossible to mine on this basis so in the end just stayed with the Skiff, so I could ignore the single characters coming through. And don’t forget that I have an almost full character standings list, and yes I had to clean some out.

I mined when I had an objective, I am not a min/max player, but I don’t pretend to sit in some fake end of pipe system like you to make a point. I have real experience of doing this in a Hulk and giving up because it was just too many interruptions.

So continue with what you think and I will continue with what I think.

Firstly. Not a fake system. And there is literally another similar one 4 jumps away. It’s a nice little two pronged fork. And there loads of them out there.

Secondly this has nothing to do with what you originally said which I’m going to quote for like the 4th time now

> [@Dracvlad](#):
>
> makes reacting to them by movement in local impossible.

This is false any way you cut it. It is not impossible.

Aligning to a safe point is POSSIBLE.

Docking up is POSSIBLE

Mining in quieter systems is POSSIBLE

what is doubly disappointing here is you are promoting yourself as an anti ganker yet you are effectively telling any new players reading this that it’s IMPOSSIBLE to react to gankers. You are telling these players they have no agency and just have to accept their fate. A position that is ultimately pro ganking, bad for anti-ganking and bad for the game.

Any serious anti ganker would be pro education of players to show how they can effectively avoid ganking and top of the list there is finding quiet space away from ganking hot zones. Yet when I point that out I’m told I’m deflecting and “lying” about such systems existing.

The cynic in me might even suggest that you don’t seem interested in giving players the tools to properly avoid gank attempts and are more interested in repping them at gates and white knighting in local.

And on top of that apparently pointing out how players can effectively avoid ganks by mining in quiet space makes me a “ganker shill”.

Disagreeing with you and pointing out false and misleading information you are peddling does not equal deflection.

Then they are easy to go check, are there mission hubs nearby. You have no idea what is there. Again deflection, furthermore people go there to mine because it is quiet and people mining create activity.

If I have to react to any unknown character coming into system then it is impossible to deal with.

Does not matter if aligning, docking or being in a end of pipe system is possible, the disruption makes it impossible.

Now to the insults about AG, we advise people to fit tanks and to use the Proc and Skiff as the most effective way not to be ganked, it is realistically impossible to operate those four ship types IMO. Of course people find out of the way systems and use those ships fit for yield and often they mine more than they lose from ganks, it is a choice.

Finding quiet space is only part of the equation.

The cynic in you is ganker aligned, nothing more to say.

Nothing I have said is false. Because you have to assess even single characters, therefore using those four ships efficiently is not possible in my opinion based on my ethos of not giving kills cheaply, which is why I used a Skiff.

People can take this type of thing from someone who mined to make Capitals and found a less populated system without many people in to do this in. Or someone who has zero kills and 23 losses, which include a mining barge and a exhumer loss in a pipe system. Though the solo Talos is a surprise on the Mac.

On my side I have mined a lot at times and I have never lost a mining ship to gankers, but then again I tended to use the ships that were tanky and during the time that all the ships were easy to gank I stopped mining in hisec.

An opinion based on my playstyle, live with it.

All of that. He just polices the in game chat channel and doesn’t actually do anything.

He just chases clout. He doesn’t even put in gate time. Last time I saw him undocked in Uedama, he was station humping in a leshak.

Im still waiting to be shown how any of what im suggestinf is IMPOSSIBLE. However im not cold hearted and as such i will do you the courtesy of addressing your deflections as follows:

> [@Dracvlad](#):

i know exactly whats there. i live nearby. agents for l1-l4 missions 1 jump away. Albeit different corporations. If you want l1-4 from the same corporation you need to make a whoping 3 jump trip. So all in all a very hospitable place to be.

> If I have to react to any unknown character coming into system then it is impossible to deal with.

absolutely false. Especially in a quiet end of pipe system like i keep pointing out. You see there is this magical tool at your disposal called dscan. When you are in a system by yourself or with 2 or 3 others you can use dscan and easily account for all ships in space. So when a unknown name appears in local you can spam dscan and presto……….A venture just appeared. is that going to try and gank me in 0.8 system. nah………..oh a praxis appeared. Will that player suicide to try and pop my retreiver in a 0.8 system. prob not. most likely running missions. …….. Oh 2 people just appeared on local and 2 catalysts are showing on dscan. I guess i better move now. The point being that as I have been asserting for a while now it is perfectly POSSIBLE to appropriately react to local if you mine in a quieter system. Not doing so is a players choice and by making that choice they are accepting the addtional risk.

Dscan with the right settings in a quiet system can cleanly show you all ships and probes. Something that can be a bit of a muddle in busy systems.

I would also go on to say that mining in quieter parts of space you will get to recognise the names that appear in local to the point that you can usually guess what ship they are in before you even get the dscan result.

> Does not matter if aligning, docking or being in a end of pipe system is possible, the disruption makes it impossible.

see above. local used in conjunction gives you all the information you need. This is just mis information which is simply not helpful for anyone coming here to look for advise on avoiding ganks.

> Now to the insults about AG, we advise people to fit tanks and to use the Proc and Skiff as the most effective way not to be ganked

firstly……it wasnt an insult it AG. It was pointing out that telling people responding to gankers entering a system is IMPOSSIBLE is bad advice. Pointing out bad advice is not insulting. You may find someone disagreeing with you insulting. But thats on you not me

Secondly….. correct me if im wrong here but im sure you have agreed with me in the past in saying that if you get caught by gankers you have effectively already lost the battle. While I agree fititng tank is good advice i dont agree its the “most effective” way of avoiding a gank. The most effective way is get away from ganking hotspots. Half the battle takes place before a player is even locked up. Making them work to find you is far more effective especially given they are not short of targets in hot spots given how reluctant players are to make an effort and mine in a quiet system.

> The cynic in you is ganker aligned, nothing more to say.

all of me is aligned to players having adjency in eve and being able to make informed choices about how they fly. Watching them being told that responding to gankers is IMPOSSIBLE when it quite clearly is POSSIBLE if better choices are made is very frustrating. If i was so pro ganking id continue just letting you preach bad information so players can remain targets.

> Nothing I have said is false. Because you have to assess even single characters, therefore using those four ships efficiently is not possible in my opinion based on my ethos of not giving kills cheaply, which is why I used a Skiff.

as described above if a players makes a choice to mine in a quiet system watches local in conjucntion dscan they will have all the information they need to make a decision about whether to stay in belt or dock up. It certainly isnt IMPOSSIBLE as you stated and continue to double down on.

> People can take this type of thing from someone who mined to make Capitals and found a less populated system without many people in to do this in. Or someone who has zero kills and 23 losses, which include a mining barge and a exhumer loss in a pipe system. Though the solo Talos is a surprise on the Mac

Yeah my zkill is fairly interesting isnt it. Especially in the context of being called a ganker shill and ganker adjacent. I would say my killboard illustrates the issue perfectly. I started this game in May 2020. I wanted to be a miner. I didnt really know much and just mined. The Mac loss you refer to would be more than a year ago now right and in a throughput system about 8 jumps from Jita right? And there will be a couple of retreivers on there to in the same system around the same time. Maybe June/July/August 2020.

And there will be a Skiff i lost trying to shortcut stuff through lowsec. that was a fairly stupid. Burned a little.

But when was my last mining ship loss? Anything recent? No. Because i learnt form my mistakes and I now mine in a quiet system away from traffic and know how to spot danger. I spent usually arounbd 3 nights a week mining and some weekends if i need materials. I also occassionally mine in ex frig in wormholes as well.

So basically my killboard tells the story of someone not mining safely…….that took the advice im presenting in this exchange and then not losing any more mining ships :). Its proof of concept. Its proof miner agency is possible.

If you thought bringing it up would shame me into the shadows then i hope you are not too dissapointed.

> On my side I have mined a lot at times and I have never lost a mining ship to gankers, but then again I tended to use the ships that were tanky and during the time that all the ships were easy to gank I stopped mining in hisec.

You do you. But saying things are impossible because you didnt need to do them…….when they are demonstrably POSSIBLE is pointless

I have not read what you wrote and I am not arguing with you anymore.

I said it is my opinion based on my play style and to be blunt the playstyle of effective Eve players. Because you just want a flame forum war I am going to block you for a period until you have calmed down. Two weeks should do it…

Good for you.

But very very telling. There is nothing insulting or flaming in my response. It is based on facts and game mechanics.

To play they victim when you have accused me of lying and tried to killboard shame me is pretty low.

But anything to avoid admitting you are presenting misleading information.

Have a good two weeks.
