I would think Hawaii/California zone of the eastern Pacific would be pretty much safely in the blue donut for the most part and only SW to W to NW of Hawaii that dangerous.

> Interested in WWII history but by no means that informed, tho, so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Nope. (As Othello points out, they _did_ operate as far east as the West Coast, but I wouldn’t call it ‘crawling’ with I-boats.) Which is kinda the point behind this bit:

> If you cannot provide a reasonable amount of control over your space… is it _yours_ ?

We’re talking about ratting carriers. That means ships in _friendly_ space. If “your” space is “crawling with” enemy hot-droppers _it is not yours_. You do not control that space. It is just space you live in, and you have much bigger problems than roaming inty gangs or whether or not a GNI can jam your fighters.

Gotcha. So more of a threat to smaller, isolated ships, I’d guess.

Well, no. Just more likely to encounter them.

Due to the Long Lange torpedo, Japanese subs were devastatingly effective when they got a clean shot at a an American warship. However, they tactically were generally tethered to support roles, instead of being lone hunters.

Since the interdiction nullification was the only reason for training to use those ships give us the option for those skill points to be refunded back. NO argument. no problem.

If this is true, then it sounds like Interdictors on the whole need a whole lot more work and thought, huh?

[https://forums.eveonline.com/u/Brisc\_Rubal](https://forums.eveonline.com/u/Brisc_Rubal) You are just very out of touch it seems about these ships and tactics. It seems very apparent that you are a cap/supercap null sec pilot that hates being killed by a interceptor fleet of 40 people or bombers bar has killed you too many times.

Chasing interceptors and keeping them away from what they are attempting to do is ‘winning’ the engagement. It is not a stalemate. Just because you don’t get a killmail doesn’t mean you didn’t win that fight. If you denied the enemy their primary objective you have won your fight.

ECM has a lot of counters in the game; boosters auto lock missiles drones. If you choose not to fit a booster and script you better not be upset when a falcon jams you. I know even in PVE pirate outposts it is SOP to fit 1 if not two to counter the jams of the outpost; and that is PV’E’

Interceptors are a great ship for younger players to see action in and a better way to adjust them might be increasing align time instead of taking the warp bubble immunity away. Without new players this game will die and will not outlive any of us. Any fleet with a lot of people in it should be hard to destroy. It doesn’t matter the ships they fly. They are frigates, figure it out. You should have warped to your pos, safe, station when the new name showed up in local or followed your intel channel.

You aren’t a ‘lair’ but you do seem like you have forgotten that frigate to battleships are what Eve was made on. Your cap/supercap was extra to keep you happy. These groups should be able to kill you when they find you and it shouldn’t be safe anywhere you undock.

so if you want to use ewar to get kills in solo you have to go with nuets. if you want to use ewar in small gang you need to go with sensor damps. Basically this idea removes an entire class of ships from 2/3rds of the pvp in the game. Why would this ever be a good idea…

Arty Firetails.
Cheaper than Dramiels and don’t rely on drones for a significant part of their dps.

> Unfortunately, wormholers will be unwilling collateral damage, as they often are, due to the incredible usefulness of HICs for rolling holes. We may address this with a specific mass manipulation module at some point in the future

I like the HIC changes as proposed. Fleet HICs will have considerably more mobility than at present.

In regards to Wormhole rolling, which I do a fair bit of just quietly, I would suggest a whole new cruiser class ship with a mass reduction module as a specific role bonus to the hull.

If you introduce a generic module that reduces mass, you’ll run the risk of allowing considerably more ships through a connection than at present. For example, if the module grants a 99% reduction in mass, you can bet that wormhole groups will use it on capital ships to help speed up seeding an eviction fleet.

Even on subcapitals it runs some very real risks that it would allow huge battleship fleets to traverse a connection.

By introducing a whole new ship for the purpose of replacing the rolling HIC, you can avoid these potential pitfalls. Something with little or no combat capability along the basic lines of the Monitor for example.

Ideally, said ship would have fairly low skill requirements and have zero other uses. Perhaps a new Sister’s of EVE or Society of Concious Thought hull?

In any case, could you please make this a very high priority. While there are easily available workarounds to not having a HIC for rolling Verge of Collapse and Frigate wormholes, they are somewhat clunky and inconvenient (Alpha clones in 100MN AB Higgs rigged Sigils for example.

Other than that, nice work CCP. I like the overall look of these changes. Coming on the heels of last month’s fabulous Quality of Life improvements I feel this is A Good Thing™.

EDIT: you’ll need to rebalance the Crow as well to make it a viable travel ceptor.
Given there is no shield equivalent of the Malediction (a resistance bonus along with the point range bonus), perhaps this is a good time to address that deficiency?

Ugh. This game is just getting worse and worse. Eve has become like a TV show that keeps getting “improved” every season. After a while, you realize the show you’re watching now is nowhere near as good as when you started watching it, and then you turn it off. 10-12 years ago this game was really fun and challenging. Now? Not so much.

You know at first I was like “Yeah screw ecm and sub 2 second roams!” But you know what, this is just another goon buff. Less chance of wormhole dwellers finding them. Less reliable inty roams in their space. Less countermeasures for the oh so common super drops.

Why not just make the invulnerability core last forever. Oh and let them mine while they’re in it, too.

This is a repost because apparently, some people don’t understand what feedback threads are for, and I posted this on the one going on in GD.

As a rule, all EWAR ships have always been support ships. Always. They were never good for solo PVP or even solo PVE. You might have noticed, though, that the only ones people were solo’ing in were the ECM ships. This is indicative of imbalance. Personally, I never use them for anything but fleet support, but to each their own.

I think this change is a good one and brings these ships back into line with their intended use - fleet support. That being said, a Blackbird without any ECM modules on it can still sport an incredible shield tank almost unparalleled by any other T1 cruiser.

That being said, and despite the fact that I like this change, I’m not sure it was necessary. There are a lot of things in the game that make one feel helpless. There are a lot of situations that you can get yourself in with no way out, and you are going to lose a ship as a result. This is all part of EVE. This change looks like a direct response to, once again, nulsec whining more than anything, thanks to recent ECM shenanigans.

CCP, I, for one, would really appreciate if you could, just once, tell nulsec, and their reps on the CSM, to HTFU.
