After this what the need to do is just increase the rewards in every other region. Then null will not be as broken.

Also the cyno changes are good and null is definitely broken, that was proved when piles of people refused to log in and no one stole their territory.

High sec and wormhole space are already considerably better isk/hour.

3x rorqs in null = 330m/hour
3x hawks in high = 1b/hour
3x rattles in c5s = 800m/hour

You quoted me saying that I was leaving and responded with “good riddance”.

That was my response, I am one of those players, and such a comment strongly implies that those like myself leaving is a good thing. Don’t back out of it now.

…or is it because I said something on these boards that you didn’t like? If that’s the case, you’re petty and need to grow up.

3 hawks doing what and 3 rattles year for a few minutes until there is nothing left. Null seems to be the only one that spawns unlimited amounts.

3 hawks doing t5s from the safety of high sec. Could also go with 3x vindis doing incursions for 600m/hour.

Both of the above can be done continually and with very little isk at risk compared to 3 rorqs or 1 super carrier. It also takes 10 months to skill up the perfect rorq pilot where skilling up hawk or vindi pilots can be done in 3-4.

They make money from customers, that’s it. I don’t work for them so I can’t speak for their financials but without customers, any business will fail. We shouldn’t want any player who pays real money to leave and not come back.

Long-term players who always pay for their monthly subscriptions is a consistent source of revenue for them, something more reliable that can be used for budget formulation and business forecasting. It’s not good if players like this leave.

As for CCP making money from players using PLEX for game time, I’m sure they do. PLEX costs money. They have more than once source of revenue. It’s just more likely this will vary in consistency than the players who’ve been paying monthly for years, which makes things more difficult on the operational side. I run businesses in real life and consistent customers are great. They make things easy. That said, I still like the one’s that spend a lot all at once, (I really do), I just don’t rely on them to pay the bills next month.

It’s hard to do and I’m still kind of on the fence, but if I do stay, I really am getting rid of everything and starting fresh again. Starting from zero and seeing how much ISK I can make for a second time would be more much more interesting. My orders make me billions per month, so even if I log off for weeks, I still come back with more isk than I had before. It’d be a good challenge and surpassing what I have now would be a great goal to set.

It’d be nice if there was a compromise for this. We have WH’s but they can be a pain in the ass if you do other things. It doesn’t have to be black-and-white, something like an “invasion blackout” that only lasts for a day or two, or limiting it to a few npc regions would shake things up enough. I’d be on-board with anything that interrupts the constant godlike intel provided by local.

To reply to the actual topic:

During the time period I normally look at (7pm to 10pm Eastern time), the numbers reported by the EVE launcher have increased fairly steadily from 12-14k to 15-17k, over a span of 5 days. The numbers have been increasing during that time slot by about 800-ish per day.

That isn’t actually EVE’s prime time (which seems to be around 19:00 UTC or 3pm Eastern), but it is generally considered a significant time slot for games because of the higher purchasing power of the North American time slots.

Given the fact that we are well into September now (summer slump is over etc.) _and_ we’ve had tens of thousands of active Chinese players transition onto Tranquility over the past year… I still consider current numbers to be painfully low.

Ding ding ding. The penny drops. The problems of 0.0 have nothing to do with local.

I agree the cyno changes are too limiting. There’s very little point me resubbing dread/titan, carrier and FAX accounts until it’s reverted. That may be an entirely acceptable and planned loss of accounts - heck I’m still playing the game, just with fewer accounts… but I think financials will ultimately lead to the cyno change being reverted. Give me and others a reason to resub our capital accounts!

At least show some realistic numbers with appropriate caveats. Most rorqs can mine double that even on standard ores and it goes up be at least 3x on moons. To add to that they can do it while watching Leave it to Beaver reruns–which the others you compare it to are extremely active play, taking continous attention and not even possible by many players.

Given null only makes up 1/8 of the population, does it matter.
