# Does mining need a minigame?

If you ask the miner, like Dryson, I’m sure they would say something to the effect of:

“All life in the real life universe would come to halt and every molecule that has ever existed would explode at the speed of light.”

No, Mining does not need a minigame. And neither does Hacking…

The minigame decreases pilot safety and increases the chance of being destroyed. The minigame interface takes up too much screen space and redirects your attention from what’s happening in your grid environment.

I think it might increase Safety.
